It was a tiny baby, weighing just 2.4 kilograms. She’d thought it was small because it came early, but the doctor said it was actually bigger than it had appeared on the ultrasound.

Because her water had broken and she’d needed an emergency C-section, Su Young was lying in bed groaning, unable to even hold her baby.

“I told you not to go out, didn’t I? My lifespan just got shortened by ten years because of you—do you even know that?”

Woo Jin complained, holding her hand.

Chairman Seol, Seol Ji Hyun—who’d rushed over upon hearing the news—and even Yeon Seo had all gone to see the baby, but Woo Jin never left his wife’s side.

They’d called Young Soon too, but since she was down at an out-of-town job site, she said she couldn’t come until tomorrow morning.

Su Young brushed his messy bangs aside and murmured,

“Who knew the baby would come out this soon? It’s got no tact at all.”

“It takes after its mom.”

This time, Su Young gently stroked Woo Jin’s cheek as she spoke.

Whether it was because he’d just become a father or not, Woo Jin had such pronounced dark circles under his eyes it looked like he’d done smoky makeup. Yet, his amber eyes sparkled brilliantly.

“Did you talk things over well with Grandfather?”
