I’ve sometimes wondered what it would be like to see a cartoon character in real life when I was younger.
But even at a young age, I thought it was nonsensical. That’s because I had never seen anyone who looked like that.
But now, this is how it feels. Sooyoung suddenly became curious about this person’s relation to the author Seolyong.
Because it seemed clear that the character was drawn based on this person.
With light brown hair, a slender face, porcelain-like smooth skin where pores seemed invisible, straight eyebrows, and large pumpkin-colored irises.
Is he not Korean? How can his eyes be that color? Below that, a sharp nose, thin lips.
He was slim but of decent height. He appeared smaller than the CEO I saw yesterday, but still easily over 180 cm tall.
“Don’t touch.”
He said it again, clearly, without moving his body. His voice, though immature, felt somehow menacing.
“Ah, sorry. I rang the bell, but there was no sound.”

But he still stood like a mannequin, looking straight at her.
His appearance and lack of movement made Sooyoung momentarily wonder if he was an AI.
She swallowed and continued.
“I came as a substitute for Ms. Jo Youngmi…”
“Go.”
“What?”
“Leave. Can’t you understand Korean?”
The iciness of his voice made her pause, but she continued despite feeling uncomfortable with his casual speech.
“I know it’s unpleasant, but I have something to say…”
“Leave, before I call security.”

Though young, his casual speech was off-putting, but she couldn’t retort as he was the owner.
Uncertain of what to do, she remained rooted to the spot until he finally yelled.
“Get out!”
His shout made Sooyoung flinch. Should she leave? What about her aunt’s job? She couldn’t move, but he still didn’t budge from his spot.
Thinking she must explain her aunt’s situation and her own mistake, Sooyoung cautiously moved forward.
Like a herbivore wary of a predator.
Normally, a herbivore would flee, but she cautiously approached him, who stood flashing his yellow eyes.
Stopping a couple of steps away, his breathing seemed to stop as she did.
Up close, the pumpkin-colored eyes seemed deeper.
His eyelashes weren’t black either. It was astonishing to see such eyes not just in comics but in reality.

Forgetting her fear, she was lost in his gaze, when suddenly he stepped back and pulled out his phone.
He pressed a button, and the phone started talking incomprehensibly fast, then he sharply said.
“What’s going on? She wasn’t supposed to come!”
After listening to the other side, he shouted again, anger in his voice.
“She’s here! Right here! In front of me!”
His face was too handsome, his voice too pretty, but his temper was terribly bad.
Sooyoung thought, God doesn’t give everything as he extended his phone towards her.
“Take it.”
“What?”
“Answer the phone!”

Looking into his fierce eyes, Sooyoung quickly took the phone.
“Hello?”
Tentatively answering, a familiar voice came from the other end.
Are you Ms. Jo Youngmi’s niece?
It was the CEO.
In the midst of his intimidating eyes and voice, the CEO’s gentle voice on the phone felt like an angel’s voice to the trembling Sooyoung.
Relieved, Sooyoung gripped the phone with both hands and quickly greeted.
“Ah, hello?”
Then, from the other end of the phone came a kind greeting that she couldn’t imagine coming from the man in front of her.
Hello? I told Ms. Jo Youngmi to take her time recovering, didn’t you hear?
“I heard. But I have something to say to the homeowner.”

What is it?
“Well, please don’t fire my aunt! It’s my fault for not putting things back in their place! I forgot… I’m so sorry! Really sorry!”
Sooyoung bowed and unbowed her body while holding the phone, panicked. The man in front of her showed no reaction, but the man on the phone spoke kindly.
It’s okay.
“Did the homeowner get hurt a lot?”
Aren’t you in front of the homeowner? Ask him yourself.
At the CEO’s cunning words, and as if hearing them, the man in front of her suddenly raised his arm.
The loose knit sleeve slid down, revealing an arm wrapped in a white bandage.
Thinking he was about to strike, Sooyoung flinched, but then gasped, seeing the bandage on his arm.
“I’m really sorry! I didn’t mean to… I’m truly sorry.”

As Sooyoung apologized repeatedly, the man’s expression softened slightly. On behalf of the homeowner, the CEO spoke from the phone.
You probably left a dumbbell on the floor. The homeowner tripped over it and hit his arm on the edge of the treadmill. It’s not a severe injury, so don’t worry too much. Please go now. I’m currently with a guest. I’ll hang up.
“Ah, but my aunt…!”
Before she could finish, the call ended abruptly, and the man in front of her snatched the phone.
“Leave now.”
My Arch-enemy Sealed My Memory and Said That He is My Husband
This is an incredibly captivating story that you absolutely shouldn’t miss! I’ll give a brief introduction here, and below you’ll find a detailed synopsis of the plot.
The female lead is a fierce and powerful demon king. The male lead is a once-in-a-millennium celestial lord, admired by the entire cultivation world.
They are equally matched, legendary rivals who have battled for centuries.
In the final duel, the female lead is gravely injured. The male lead saves her, seals her memories, and hides her true identity. He tells her that he is her fiancé. His entire life has been flawless—except for the one thing he never expected, never controlled, and never wanted to control: falling for his greatest enemy. She is his inner demon, his obsession.
When the female lead regains her memories, she is furious at his deception.
She makes his life a living hell.
And somehow, the male lead—possibly a total masochist—doesn’t mind at all. In fact, he’s happy she’s paying attention to him.
Yep, we’re back to my favorite trope: male lead suffering. If you love this kind of story, jump into the pit with me now!!!
Intro
Dong Xia lost her memory.
Her handsome and extremely powerful fiancé Li Qing comforted her: “It’s okay if you can’t remember. I’ll always be with you.”
Everyone thought Dong Xia’s ancestors must have burned incense to get such a perfect fiancé. He was the number one person in the immortal realm, yet he remained chaste and only loved her.
…
The day before marrying her fiancé, Dong Xia finally remembered everything.
She wasn’t suffering from memory loss at all.
Her arch-enemy had made her fake her death, destroyed her cultivation, replaced her memories, and pretended to be her deeply in love fiancé.
No wonder he said, “It’s okay if you can’t remember”!
Dong Xia laughed coldly as she pulled out her long knife: Li Qing, prepare to die 🙂
*
Li Qing, as the supreme being of the immortal realm, was the people’s shining beacon.
The only unknown stain in his life was his affection for Dong Xia, the ruler of the demon realm.
In the final battle of the war between immortals and demons, the sky collapsed and the earth shattered. The ruler of the demon realm was finally slain under the sword of the supreme being of the immortal realm, and everyone in the immortal realm applauded.
The cultivation world lost a ruler of the demon realm.
And in the back mountain of Li Qing’s cave dwelling, he secretly hid away a fiancée.
Notes:
1. The female lead is white on the outside, black on the inside, and the queen of flattery; the male lead repeatedly tests the edge of darkness, a VIP guest at the crematorium.
2. Fantasy cultivation world setting.
