“Shall I bring your meal in?”

Etienne, holding the library door, met the butler’s eyes and smiled.

“Please.”

After closing the door, the butler’s presence faded. Leaning against the library’s thick door, Etienne looked ahead.

As expected of the Claire family, known for their restoration abilities, their main interest was books, especially historical texts and heroic tales.

Heroic tales often contained exaggerations and portrayed an individual’s life story like a novel. Still, they were useful for referencing past events.

Etienne pushed the ladder towards the section with heroic tales.

“Which book was it?”

Blinded by the light, she had completely drawn the curtains. She ate the meals brought by the butler while reading. It felt like roughly two days had passed…
