Leharth looked down at the sleeping Etienne’s face. After hearing Alex’s report, Leharth, instead of waiting calmly, came out to personally investigate the situation.

Observing the chaotic city and being nearby, he checked people’s faces multiple times, wondering if Etienne might be among those swept up in the incident.

Even after finding the individuals Alex had mentioned, Leharth couldn’t relax because he discovered the carriage Etienne had ridden in.

Having traveled in Suprahaga’s carriage with Fernando, it was standing alone on one side. Consequently, he searched even more for Etienne and fortunately found her.

The relief at finding her turned into worry when he saw her unable to rise, emitting colorful breaths, after getting up. What if she had been injured somewhere?

There didn’t seem to be any visible trauma, but if it was hidden under her clothes…

As concern for Etienne grew, he coincidentally noticed her trembling hand. On the paper visible between her fingers, Leharth finally understood what had happened.

Though he didn’t know the details, he realized that she had collapsed because of the paper she held. Without hesitation, he picked up Etienne and brought her to a place only he knew, allowing her to rest.

“I said it was fortunate that I found you, but it would have been better if nothing had happened at all.”

Imagining Etienne catching the eyes of someone other than himself, Leharth clicked his tongue.
If it was just a thief, they would only pickpocket Etienne’s pocket, but if it was someone approaching with dangerous intentions, he didn’t know what would have happened.

“There won’t be a next time like this, right?”

Leharth asked, tapping Etienne’s cheek with his index finger. Today, I was lucky to have found her. However, there was no guarantee that it wouldn’t happen again.

Leharth intended to hear the details and give a stern warning once Etienne woke up.

“Are you here?”

Leharth turned to Alex as he snapped out of his thoughts.

“Report.”

“There was this at the fountain. It seems to have exploded in reaction to water, as it has the opposite properties. There were 64 injured, and among them were Nick and Solar.”

For a moment, a faint smile appeared on Alex’s calm tone. Perhaps it was because of the incident during their trip to the Duke’s territory, where he found Nick and Solar quite cute.

“So, we don’t know who did it?”

“I didn’t witness it myself.”

“What about Ludvig?”

“He was in the city, but it seems he left before the explosion. However, he was just there for a short time, so I can’t be sure if he knows anything.”

“In the end, we don’t know who did it.”

Alex closed his mouth as if acknowledging that it was his responsibility not to find the cause.

If the Crown Prince wanted him to find out more, he would go out again and investigate the scene one by one. Otherwise, he planned to stay by the Crown Prince’s side.
Leharht, who had been looking at Etienne’s sleeping face, soon issued another instruction.

“Clarega will be waiting. Let her know that Etienne is safe.”

Then, Fernand, who was with Etienne, contemplated checking where he was right now but decided against it.

“That should be enough. I’ll be here for today and will enter the castle tomorrow morning. Reinforce the security around.”

“Understood.”

Alex quickly responded and left. Two hours later, Rani and Laheun appeared.

“Assistant Alex sent us. My brother and I will take turns guarding you.”

“Good.”

In response to Rani’s words, Leharht replied casually. Alex had found suitable individuals and sent them for the guard duty.

“But now Etienne is sleeping, and there doesn’t seem to be anything needed.”

Approaching, Rani took a glance at Etienne’s face, then lifted the blanket slightly to check her skirt. Confirming that her clothes were not wet and her hands and feet were not cold, Rani returned to her original position.

“She fainted without any strength, and she’s been sleeping without waking up once. Do you happen to know why?”

Leharht’s intuition may be due to his ability, but it was wise to keep that in mind.

“I don’t know. However, I heard something from the butler before coming here.”

Rani noticed the cold sweat on Etienne’s face.

“He might continue sleeping for a while and feel weak,” Rani said.

“Then when will she return to normal?”
“I didn’t hear about that.”

In response to Rani’s answer, Leharht nodded.

“Yeah, anyway, if Clarega’s butler knows about this, we don’t have to worry.”

Leharht stood up and gestured to Laheun. Understanding his intention, Laheun picked up his bag and stepped aside. Leharht spoke to Rani.

“I originally planned to stay here for just a day, but you can stay longer if you want.”

“I’ll leave when the lady wakes up.”

“That’s not a bad idea either. I’ll be in the next room, so let me know when she wakes up.”

“I understand.”

Rani bowed slightly and replied, and Leharht glanced at Etienne’s face once again. He wanted to stay by her side, but there were many things he had to handle now.

As Leharht walked away, his footsteps barely audible to Rani, he muttered in a low voice.
