Hearing those words that they’d never be allowed to leave, Reinhart let out a low, quiet groan.

“Oh? You say we can’t escape…? That’s not how I see it.”

At Reinhart’s cryptic remark, Count Reto furrowed his brow.

When Reinhart sought agreement from Etienne beside him, Count Reto snapped harshly.

“You’d better drop that trick of buying time with idle chatter.”

“Yeah. I will. Didn’t get much useful information, but I appreciate it anyway.”

The moment Reinhart finished speaking, Fernando drew his sword—but instead of striking the knights ahead, he swung it toward the window behind Reinhart.

With a sharp crash, the window shattered. Reinhart grabbed Etienne by the waist and leapt onto the windowsill. Before the knights could react and attack, they had already jumped out.
