The Spring Banquet was Eregorn’s grandest event, held a week after the arrival of the three Dukes who oversaw the empire’s northern, southern, eastern, and western borders in the capital.

As the first event of the new year—and one held in high regard—the banquet lasted exactly one week.

Since the required attire differed depending on the day and time of the banquet, noblewomen could be said to spend the entire indoors-bound winter preparing solely for this occasion.

This applied even to Alicia, the noblest lady in all of Eregorn.

Merely changing dresses three times a day, plus extra outfits prepared for unforeseen circumstances… meant she needed to prepare at least thirty dresses in total.

And matching shoes, hair ornaments, fans, gloves, and jewelry for each dress—it was enough to give anyone a headache just thinking about it separately.

“But I didn’t realize this was actually the better situation.”

“Your Highness?”

“Nothing at all.”

“Even if you’re tired, please bear with it just a little longer. This is the last one.”

It was time to try on all the outfits prepared in advance for the final inspection before the banquet.

Though preparations were clearly thorough, the designer in charge of her wardrobe still frowned deeply, seemingly spotting something lacking.

“I truly am fine, so please just focus on your own duties.”
