Knock knock knock.

A small bird with harmonious green and blue feathers tapped on the window with its beak.

At the sound, Hestia’s eyes snapped open.

Though she had been sleeping soundly just moments ago, her violet eyes showed no trace of drowsiness.

She tried to sit up, but the firm arm wrapped around her waist prevented her from doing so.

Glancing sideways, she saw Aslan.

Taking in the few old scars resting atop his well-built muscles was no longer an unfamiliar sight.

Since Aslan showed no sign of waking up anytime soon, Hestia quietly tried to lift his arm off her.

Instantly, he furrowed his brows and pulled her body even tighter against him.

After a bit more struggling to loosen his hold, Hestia finally let out a deep sigh and gently shook his shoulder.

“Aslan, wake up. It’s already morning.”

“…Just a little longer.”

His low, rumbling voice always sharpened all of Hestia’s senses as keenly as ever.

But she had already been thoroughly worn out the previous night. Aslan might not mind, but if she indulged him from the very start of the day, she’d be utterly trapped in bed.

So it was better to pretend she didn’t notice that sensation at all.
