“Steward!”

“Yes, young mistress.”

“Bring Melvin! No, no time—send word instead. Tell him we’re sailing at dawn tomorrow, so give generous severance pay to all originally hired crew and dismiss them all, then hire new ones!”

“D-departing…?”

“That’s right. Oh, by the way, how much money do I still have available?”

The steward quickly rushed to Ro and pulled a notebook from his coat, flipping through several pages.
