Vialle took a moment to splash water on her face, then inhaled and exhaled deeply.

With trembling hands, she opened her bedroom door and took one step at a time.

Among the many rooms in the long corridor, only she and Gaijen were currently staying on that floor.

Her footsteps echoed in the long hallway, eventually coming to a gentle halt.

Knock, knock―

Vialle, with a hoarse voice, called out to the other side of the door.

“It’s me, Gaijen.”

After a while, a trembling voice came from inside.

“Come in, sister.”

Entering Gaijen’s room, which she had often visited since childhood, felt awkward now.

The atmosphere was strikingly different from Gaijen’s room in their younger days. Vialle swallowed dryly and looked around.

On the elaborately embroidered tablecloth was a chess set he had enjoyed since childhood, and a small frame contained a family portrait, the only remnant of his youth.

The room, usually bright, was now shrouded in curtains, steeped in darkness as if hiding its scars along with the darkness.

“Didn’t you… get hurt?”

Gaijen’s shoulders shivered slightly at her question, and he forced an indifferent tone.

“Just a scratch. It’s nothing.”

Vialle had dismissed his increasingly dark attire and reduced chattiness as just a phase, not considering it significant.

But now, as all the past moments flashed through her mind with clarity, she could only sigh.

It seemed the situation was worsening, and whether she could address the issue at all was uncertain.

“Gaijen, I’ve been thinking about what you said all day.”

“…….”
As a result of reflecting on Gaijen’s words, Vialle realized painfully how ignorant and foolish she had been all this time.

“But no matter how much I thought about it, I couldn’t fully understand your words.”

“…….”

She could only surmise that Gaijen’s words harbored underlying sorrow and resentment.

Unable to watch her brother in such a state any longer, Vialle added in a voice tinged with despair.

“Can’t you explain it to me? Please, I’m asking you.”

“Gaijen……”

Gaijen’s eyes wavered uncontrollably with agitation, and Vialle could only stare into his darkened, troubled gaze.

After hesitating, Gaijen shook his head resolutely.

“There’s nothing I can say to you. I’m sorry.”

Vialle felt utterly defeated by his adamant refusal to open up to her.

Although she had anticipated his reluctance to speak, confronting the reality of it felt like her heart was being torn apart.

“This is all to protect you, sister. Can’t you just leave me alone, please?”

Gaijen’s words almost sounded like a plea, his eyes revealing his anxiety.

“Alright, I won’t press you for answers right now.”

As she said this, Vialle gently tidied Gaijen’s disheveled hair and added, more composed than ever.

“But just confirm one thing for me.”

He looked up at his sister, unable to anticipate what she might be doubtful about.

It seemed as if his silence could be taken as a tacit agreement.

Vialle hesitated, knowing her question might seem absurd even to herself. Among all the questions she could have asked, she didn’t understand why this particular one lingered in her mind.

Cold Male Lead Became My Clingy Husband (Female-Dominant)

Feng Bai Su transmigrated into a matriarchal novel, becoming the sister of the female protagonist and the Seventh Princess of the Feng Ling Kingdom.

After working herself to death in her previous life, finally reincarnating as a princess, she only wanted to be a lazy fish who could eat, sleep, and play.

Until she met the male protagonist from the book, Wei Jing Mo, and he took a liking to her!

Wei Jing Mo is the top young man in Feng Ling City, talented in both appearance and ability, from a prestigious family, with a cold and otherworldly appearance, a figure like the bright moon in the hearts of noble ladies. It was thought that only the most powerful and talented noble lady in Feng Ling City would be worthy of such a brilliant young man. Who knew that this young gentleman would secretly admire the infamous Seventh Princess?

Short scene 1:

Feng Bai Su looked at the young man crying like a pear blossom in the rain before her, and couldn’t help but doubt her life.

Wasn’t the male lead described as a cold and otherworldly figure in the book?

Then who was this poor little thing crying with swollen red eyes and tear-stained face?

Short scene 2:

Wei Jing Mo stared intently at Feng Bai Su who was about to go out, wanting to say, “Be careful on the road.”

Before he could speak, Feng Bai Su suddenly bent down and bit his cheek.

Her peach blossom eyes were full of disdain: “Tsk! You’re so clingy!”

Wei Jing Mo: “…”

A talented fox spirit female lead with a flirtatious appearance but actually abstinent VS A cold-looking but actually naive and clingy little jealous male lead
