The last day of the month-long set filming. Despite all the work Hye Yoon had done piling up like grains of sand beneath her feet, it still felt as if time had flown by.

“But there’ll be so many people at the theater on opening day… Is it really okay to go?”

When even the last crew member finished packing up props and left, Hye Yoon turned to Ji Ho standing beside her. Opening day—on a Friday evening, no less.

Moreover, this particular day saw the simultaneous release of three films that had been highly anticipated since the beginning of the year.

“Yes. I thought it might be crowded, so I rented a whole theater.”

“Wow…”

She was slowly getting used to this about Ji Ho—how he made everything sound utterly ordinary. Still unaccustomed, Hye Yoon couldn’t close her mouth, prompting Ji Ho to smile faintly.

“It’s not a huge theater, so it wasn’t that expensive.”

He kindly nipped her grand imagination in the bud—she’d been picturing him renting out an entire cinema.

“How much was it? Let’s split it half and half.”

“Huh? I make pretty good money, you know.”

“I make decent money too.”

Her upward gaze was surprisingly earnest. Of course he knew—she worked so hard despite her small frame. Suddenly, the taste of the yuja tea she’d made him last time lingered on his tongue.

He was the type to deflect the topic entirely with a simple “I’ll just treat you next time.”

“But my schedule’s a bit tight, so I’m eating dinner now. I’ll pick you up around 8.”
