Before leaving the room, Ji Ho, already wearing his coat, grabbed the smart key.

“Where’s the noodle place? Should we take the car?”

Hye Yoon had been staring intently at her phone the entire time they walked toward the elevator. Her face was completely earnest, focused on a map even she couldn’t read. Just how many times had Ji Ho seen that adorable expression here? His gaze mimicked Hye Yoon’s concentration.

“No, I think we can walk. Looks like we just go straight to the right.”

“…To the right? But the right is the ocean.”

“Huh?”

Ji Ho chuckled softly as her steps came to an abrupt halt right in front of the hotel entrance. Then he pulled her shoulder, wrapped in his arm, closer to himself.

Now visible, Hye Yoon’s map showed exactly what Ji Ho had expected. Her clear, curious eyes widened in confusion. His voice softened almost to a melt as he gently reassured her.

“Hye Yoon, that’s actually the left. You have to orient yourself based on our movement. We’re walking away with the hotel behind us—don’t face the hotel when you give directions.”

“Oh…”

Ji Ho ruffled the head that nodded so innocently. Though, by tomorrow, she’d likely forget this conversation again as if hearing it for the first time. The fact that this exchange had repeated itself for five days straight only made it more endearing.

Over the past five days, Ji Ho felt like he’d heard the words “right,” “left,” and “straight” over a hundred times. What amazed him even more was that, despite hearing them so often, her directions had never once been correct.

Hye Yoon had a unique way of understanding directions.

“Wow, was this building here all along?”

“Huh? We saw it on day one.”
