The continued filming went smoother than expected. Everything was new for Hye Yoon, but that was because Ji Ho was there by her side, taking care of everything.
“It would be good if you stand at this distance. The two of you are still awkward with each other.”
“Yes.”
His fingers, gently holding and letting go of her wrist as if wrapping a newborn baby’s head, his voice softly murmuring at a distance close enough for only one person to hear. This was the image Ji Ho showed throughout the shoot.
‘Do you know what the staff are saying? That Jang Hye Yoon is doing better than expected. Her movement and eye control.’
During lunch, Min Ju’s words again brushed through Hye Yoon’s mind. It was natural that no one noticed Ji Ho’s quiet consideration. She looked up at him.
How large a sea did this man, whose way of caring was filled with care, hold in his heart?
“I’m going to be hesitant here, so you can speak in a casual tone.”
“Yes. I’ll try.”
It was a house where only men lived, so to Hee Soo, a woman, everything looked shabby here and there.

It was a scene where they had a conversation looking at the messy laundry in front of the washing machine. For Hee Soo, it was the first nagging she had ever done to someone, and for Jong Soo, it was the unfamiliar attention he was receiving for the first time. Perhaps it was the nagging he wanted to hear.
“Somehow…… everything is here. From now on, be sure to put in fabric softener. Shake the laundry before hanging it.”
“……Yes.”
Hye Yoon, who was looking into the detergent container set in the utility room, turned quickly at his brief answer and looked at him. With eyes that were slightly dissatisfied.
“You’re not just good at answering, are you? Do you trust me?”
“Chuckle. Yes.”
“……Huh? Isn’t it a bit strange for Jong Soo to laugh here?”
Ji Ho, who had been syncing well with her, let out an unexpected laugh. Hye Yoon released the dissatisfaction in her eyes and passed on her puzzlement. Ji Ho swallowed his laughter, biting his lip.
“Sorry. I just started laughing all of a sudden.”
“Why?”

Hye Yoon looked up at him, tilting her head. Despite clearing his throat, his eyes were still brightly curved.
“Do you think Jong Soo will understand if you speak so cutely?”
Suddenly, Hye Yoon recalled Min Woo’s words before the shooting started. Now, looking at Ji Ho, she understood why the phrase “Honey drips from your eyes” came out. Then, the rush of blush on both cheeks happened in an instant.
The embarrassment surged only now after spending the entire day together. Even the order of emotions was wrong when she was with him. Afraid that an oblivious hiccup might come out, she responded more forcefully.
“Hey, I just spoke with a strong older sister vibe?”
“Did the meaning of ‘strong’ change without me knowing?”
Ji Ho added a bit more warmth to his awkward tone and looked at her. If that was Hee Soo’s assertiveness, Jong Soo must have messed up the housework all his life. That way, he could keep getting scolded.
“When this scene ends, the writer will be off work.”
Ji Ho slightly rolled up the script he had covered. Then, he looked around. Everyone was scattered in their own places, concentrating only on their own roles, so outside the camera’s view, it looked both quiet and chaotic.
“Yes. Do you finish late, Ji Ho?”

“Not too late.”
Why was she looking at him so apologetically when she was just doing her part? Ji Ho shook his head slightly.
“Is it always late from now on…… isn’t it?”
“Well, almost. But everyone is working hard considering my situation. I should be grateful and try to make it in one shot.”
Ji Ho was in a tangled schedule for about two months until the end of the year due to his unplanned appearance in .
Fortunately, the broadcasting station adjusted his schedule as much as possible, recognizing his appearance itself was astonishing. The number of shooting days was reduced, but the amount of shooting per day increased.
“You must be busy promoting the movie.”
“For now. The release is at the end of this month, so I should start preparing.”
Ji Ho stepped half a step towards Hye Yoon, patting his shoulder with the script he had rolled up. At a nearly touching distance, he could smell Hye Yoon. A little later, he took a deep breath in anticipation of being left alone.
It felt like his lungs were filling with emotion.

“I’ll definitely go see the movie when it releases.”
“……Don’t want to watch it together?”
At his playful remark, Hye Yoon looked up at Ji Ho with wide eyes. She quickly lowered her head, but having anticipated her reaction, he was able to fully capture her pretty face.
“……Okay.”
Even if she was shy, her honesty always won, making her even prettier. She probably didn’t know that.
“Okay. If the time is right.”
As the shooting preparations were completed, and the number of eyes watching them increased, Ji Ho softly ended the conversation.
“Alright, let’s get back to filming!”
When male lead is the homewrecker
“I know she doesn’t love him.”
I’ve read the novel below twice already. Girls, I’m highly recommending it to you!
The female lead? Not a good person.
The second male lead? Not a good person.
The male lead? Willingly plays the third party, breaking up the female and second male lead’s relationship despite all the warnings from his friends—so yeah, he’s definitely not a good person either.
Basically, nobody in this novel is simple-minded or without scheming.
The female lead starts off as the male lead’s secretary, but don’t worry—later on, she takes over the company while the male lead steps back to support her. He won’t steal her spotlight, overshadow her, or dull her shine.
I love novels where men are out here snatching wigs, tearing each other down, and going to war just to win the female lead’s affection. And this is exactly that kind of novel. Most of Hai Dai Ran’s works have this dynamic. You’ll see the male characters’ emotions being pushed to the absolute extreme.
There’s even a scene where the second male lead exposes the male lead online for being a homewrecker. The brotherhood immediately gangs up on him, dragging him through the mud. I find it compelling —it completely flips reality on its head, where usually, women are the ones fighting over a man and getting torn apart by the sisterhood.
For me, female leads in the novels I read should only struggle in their careers, not in love. But if the brainless romantics in the story are all men? I have zero complaints.
I’ve pretty much read all of Hai Dai Ran’s novels and even translated all of them—her works are just my thing. I’ll slowly upload everything here. One day, when my website is official, I hope I can invite her to join as one of the star authors.
