Just as the aftermath of war was gradually subsiding, news spread across the continent that Princess Ariana White of the Stella Kingdom would marry Cyrus Karha, Emperor of the Arcana Empire.

Rumors also circulated that the Arcana Empire had already been preparing for months to welcome its new empress.

Those who had coveted the vacant empress’s seat clicked their tongues in disappointment, while those who knew of Ariana and Cyrus’s relationship simply nodded, saying, “I knew it would come to this.”

Cyrus departed first for the empire, while Ariana stayed behind, busy preparing her wedding dress and dowry.

Among the beautifully dressed patrons sat one woman wearing an unusually worn-out dress. With brown hair, black eyes, and slightly dark skin, she sat alone in the farthest corner of the shop and ordered the cheapest tea.

Her gaze was fixed on the beautiful woman serving tea. The teahouse owner, her light brown hair simply tied back in a single, unadorned ponytail, looked strikingly lovely despite her plain attire, and every movement of hers exuded grace.

‘Princess Charlotte…’

The woman silently murmured the teahouse owner’s name to herself.

‘How astonishing.’

Just a few years ago, Charlotte had been of such noble status that no ordinary person could meet her. Yet now, she was serving tea to anyone who walked into her teahouse.
