Ariana quietly got out of bed.

Though the night was deep, she couldn’t fall asleep.

Several days had passed since the Third Prince and Victoria had confessed their sins in full and been locked away in the underground prison.

Those responsible for Ariana’s death were now facing the consequences of their actions. Empress Aibella had gone mad, the Third Prince and Rachel were utterly broken, and Victoria was said to cry out for Ariana every day.
