To You, So Noble and Vulgar (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 187
Ariana had already decided the order.
She had no intention of letting Herald take all the blame. Victoria and Herald both had to share the guilt equally.
For that, the sequence mattered.
At Ariana’s signal, Lanster went out and returned with yet another group of witnesses. This time there were seven witnesses, all bearing appearances similar to Penter, Herald’s personal guard.
“Who are these people now?”
“These are assassins hired to kill Averster White, the Viscount, and the Crown Prince while we were residing in the imperial capital.”
Victoria held her breath.
The Emperor asked, puzzled.
“You seem to be trying to pin the blame on the Third Prince, but according to your words, what would the Third Prince gain by killing the Crown Prince and Viscount White?”
Ariana briefly turned her gaze aside.
Their eyes met—Ariana’s and Victoria’s. As a faint smile appeared at the corner of Ariana’s lips, the color drained from Victoria’s face.
Ariana turned back to the Emperor and spoke.
“These men were not hired by the Third Prince. They acted under the orders of Princess Victoria Bronte.”
“No!”
Victoria cried out sharply. Rachel hastily grabbed Victoria’s wrist. Victoria snapped back to her senses, suppressed her agitation, and spoke calmly.

Male lead fell into her trap — and shattered when she walked away
This is also on my reread list!
This one is a slow burn, but when it burns, it burns hard.
Definitely worth a read, y’all!

The story follows a thousand-year-old seductive spirit who, on a bet, sets out to charm the male lead—a once-promising but unfortunate cultivator.
But just when she succeeds in making him fall for her, she heartlessly leaves, driving him to madness.
Determined to find her at all costs, he captures her, keeping her by his side no matter what, even if she hates him.
I love this kind of trope—I enjoy watching the male lead suffer in agony.
The ending drags a bit with unnecessary filler, but that’s fine.
As long as I enjoy the beginning, I’m good.
