Victoria had only three days to stay in Bukryeong. The Western Marquis, fearing she might give her heart to Cyrus, had granted her merely three days.

With today passing, only two days remained.

The Western Marquis had ordered her to establish a good rapport with the Northern Marquis and, if possible, uncover why he had visited Seoryeong. Additionally, if feasible, she was to find out whether any communication occurred between the Eastern and Northern Marquises.

Near the end of the meal, Victoria spoke.

“Your Highness, after dinner, I’d like to take a walk through the garden. Would you accompany me? I also have something important to discuss with you.”

She meant to go out alone with him, excluding Andrei. Cyrus glanced briefly at Andrei, then met Victoria’s eyes and nodded.

“Very well.”

Victoria had been shivering from the cold since earlier, her shoulders trembling visibly, her lips tinged blue.

“Win Victoria’s heart. She trusts the Northern Marquis so completely that if he claimed he could forge a gun from pudding, she’d believe it.”

Ariana never doubted that Cyrus would win Victoria’s heart. Thus, he had to succeed—but he had no idea what to do to win a woman’s affection.
