“Hey! How the hell would I know that? And even if I did, why would I give it to you? The master’s back! If Alejandro finds out you barged all the way into his private study like this, there’ll be hell to pay!”

Johnny, flustered, tried to stop her,

“But that’s why I said I’d take it and bring it back without anyone knowing—before Alejandro even arrives!”

Grace, whose words made no sense at all.

But then—

“What nonsense is this, Grace Lancaster?”

Alejandro pushed open the door, his voice cold enough to freeze one’s breath.

The orderly study.

Standing before the table where the black armor lay spread out, Grace Lancaster’s face had gone deathly pale, as if she’d just seen a ghost.

Nerea instinctively looked toward Heather.

Frightened by the tense atmosphere, Heather quickly scurried off to the opposite end of the corridor, while Alejandro entered the study with a chilling expression.

Nerea leaned against the wall, gazing out the window overlooking the corridor. The garden below was clearly visible—its view oddly reminiscent of her own room.

In that moment, Grace’s flustered voice rang out from inside.

“Alejandro, it’s not like that….”
