Alejandro’s expression also turned serious, as if recalling a newspaper article. After a brief pause, he spoke.

“It’ll be the tenth anniversary of the current acting count’s assumption of authority since the victory banquet. It’ll probably coincide with the final banquet of this year’s decennial victory festival.”

“That leaves about two months. You’re saying I have to show them something by then.”

“Of course, something completely opposite to spilling wine.”

“Sir Knight!”

Alejandro’s horrified expression was slightly amusing. The tension seemed to ease bit by bit. Nerea slowly mulled over her own words.

Nerea chuckled softly, granting permission. Instantly, Alejandro’s eyes darkened profoundly. At the sharp, honed tip of his gaze, there was a glint of killing intent.
