His tightly clenched hands had turned white from restraining fury so intense it hadn’t yet fully sunk in, yet he felt nothing at all.
But it wasn’t yet his turn to speak. Alejandro reluctantly tore his eyes away from the Emperor and looked toward his knight’s back.
