To My Beloved, I Present My Exquisite Nightmare (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 72
When Eustar slightly turned his head, the chandelier’s light fell downward, struck Pin’s jewel, and scattered in all directions.
The refracted light was dazzling. Laila instinctively reached out toward the pin stuck in his hair, then stopped herself and clenched her fist tightly.
Something is about to change, Laila thought. It felt as though a faint, ticklish sensation—like the soft earth swelling just before a sprout emerges—was brushing against various parts of her body.
“Shall we go?”
Eustar bent his right arm and offered it. At first, such an escort had felt utterly awkward, but now she could accept it quite naturally. Her slender hand, clad in delicate bobbin-lace gloves, wrapped around his arm, and the two began walking slowly.
In the dining room, a meal had already been prepared for them. After sipping a little of the warm, tangy aperitif, the first course soon arrived.
During her time in the royal palace, Laila encountered countless ingredients she had never seen before in her life—some whose names she had never even heard.
In truth, it wasn’t the grand chambers adorned with jewels and precious crystals or the seemingly endless corridors that amazed Laila most—it was these small things that struck her with greater wonder.
From their seats in the dining room, the eastern entrance to the royal palace was clearly visible through the large glass window. Amid the deep, heavy winter night, the occasional lamplights bloomed like flower buds rising toward the sky.
Laila, lost in the play of soft light and shadow, suddenly saw the pale, small figure of a child vanish swiftly between the lampposts. In that instant, she felt a chill run down her neck and turned hurriedly toward Eustar.
“What’s wrong, Laila?”
Eustar asked, puzzled. He glanced once at Laila’s face, then turned to look outside—but saw nothing. Nor could Laila see anything now.
“Was there something strange out there?”
After a brief hesitation, Laila replied with feigned indifference.
“Have many people died in this palace?”

After Being Cheated On, She Picked Up a Treasure (Female-dominant)
One-line summary: The husband I married on a whim had been secretly in love with me for a long time.
On the day when Jun Shao finally obtained the imperial decree for her marriage, Lan Qu, the person she had admired for six years, defied the decree and ran away.
Her gentleness and devotion, her promise of a lifetime together, were all disregarded by him. Instead, he dreamed of entering the palace to serve the Emperor’s sister as a sixth-rank attendant.
News of this incident spread throughout the capital, and the alleys in front of and behind the Lan mansion were crowded with people who came to watch the commotion.
Jun Shao should have been embarrassed and angry.
But someone stepped in to protect her dignity.
The figure was in a miserable state, yet still possessed an undeniable elegance and handsomeness.
The young lord struggled to climb the wall of the Lan mansion and shouted to her, “If he won’t marry you, I will!”
So, Jun Shao took advantage of the situation and married the person.
She thought the young lord did it to save the Lan family from the crime of defying the imperial decree, but never imagined that from beginning to end, what he coveted was her.
*
After the wedding, Jun Shao felt like she was living in a dream.
Her Wife-master was as beautiful as a fairy in a painting, skilled in the six arts, well-versed in poetry and literature, capable of being gentle and attentive, and also grand and dignified. Most importantly, she was the only one in his heart and eyes.
Jun Shao didn’t know how Lan Shiwu, as a illegitimate son without a father and blessed with beauty, had managed to preserve his purity, recklessly escape, and use his last ounce of strength to ruin his own reputation, all because of his love for her, just to stand before her.
She could only see him gazing at her with eyes full of love, and when she bestowed a name upon him, his eyes shone like stars.
“You have come to me like a weary bird perching on a branch. I shall call you A Qi.”
