Muuge’s words, “Go wait anywhere,” were not empty, so Eustar and Laila eventually circled around Branch 2 and barely found one empty and usable room.

“It’s miraculous that there hasn’t been a single complaint from Branch 2 despite this.”

Eustar, lying on the clean bed, let out a hollow laugh as he spoke.

The rooms prepared for the members and knights were all in disrepair, no matter which one.

Some had traces of something exploding, or personal items scattered in a mess, or places where the windows had been left open and forgotten for who knows how long, causing cold wind and dust to make one cough the moment they entered.

“It seems the members live freely because Director Muuge doesn’t pay attention to the small things. It’s good to live comfortably, but this is too much.”

“Still, some were clean, weren’t they?”

“That’s true. To the eye, at least……”

There were two or three more rooms that seemed unused by anyone.

The items were neatly organized, and there were no sands, dust, or things scattered on the sheets that one couldn’t tell if they were discarded clothes or originally rags picked up and placed there.

However, every such room had… an unwelcome tenant.

“Aren’t you tired, Laila? Come here.”

Eustar stretched out his arm. Laila, who had exorcised as many as five ghosts in a short time, looked more bewildered than exhausted, her energy drained.

“Why are there so many ghosts in Branch 2?”
