Stiana asked, looking at my arm, which was covered in bruises.

“It’s fine as long as I don’t touch it.”

“Really?”

Unlike her brief reply, Stiana’s expression darkened as she scanned my injuries. I cautiously popped a piece of bread into my mouth.

Though Stiana’s gaze was uncomfortable, it was still far better than the stares from the maids behind me.

It had been two days since I’d left that prison-like room at the top of the house.

Vigilance had reached its peak, and surveillance over me continued day and night without pause. If the visible watch was this intense… the actual eyes spying on me must be beyond imagination.

‘What should I do?’

I’d merely escaped that hellish room—my life was still tightly controlled.

I silently recited the “location of the gift” Daymic had written down, determined not to forget it. As long as I was watched, I couldn’t go to where the item was hidden.

If someone found it first during this window, it would be disastrous.

I wished I could tell Rodney or Isabelle the location, but it was too dangerous.
