I climbed onto the carriage and stretched out. Roger had something come up, so I could only practice for about an hour unlike usual, but I was drained. Probably because I argued continuously with Roger while practicing the violin.

‘What should I do when I get back to the mansion?’

If I lie down, Isabel will scold me for being lazy and slow… If I read a book, she’ll complain again… If I play chess, she’ll immediately put it away…

I might just end up running around after Felicia and Bernard when they return from school, after taking care of Swell and Silke.

‘Bernard is the same age as Yurik, so why does he behave so differently?’

I constantly thought how nice it would be if Bernard, the second son, was even half like Yurik. If that’s difficult, then I wish Rodney Marsen, who’s staying in a boarding school, would come home soon. He’s a bit whimsical, but we communicate best among the siblings.

‘I just don’t want to go into the mansion.’

I finished an hour early, so the thought of slacking off came to mind.

That thought soon turned into a plan, and I put it into action. As soon as I arrived in the village where the Marsen mansion is located, I got off the carriage.

“Miss! You’ll get scolded by the madam again for wandering around without permission!”

“When have I not been scolded? You go ahead to the mansion. Don’t tell anyone about me!”

After sending the carriage to the mansion, I quickly headed to the library. Perhaps I could meet Yurik there.

I saw the marketplace on the way to the library, a shortcut. The Hosha village market is so famous and wide that it’s always crowded, but if I avoided this place, I would have to go half a mile around the village.

Carrying my violin bag on my back, I walked through the market and passed “The Mermaid’s Tears.” Then I briefly caught the eyes of the master who was arranging the curtains inside the shop.

“…….”

“…….”

Unlike me who was just staring, the master smiled awkwardly and immediately looked away. He stopped fixing the curtain and turned his body into the shop.

How cranky.

I continued walking too. Being careful with my violin bag, I walked cautiously, but my shoulders kept bumping into others. My steps were unstable.
If I’d known this would happen, I would have turned around. If I fall like this, my dress will get dirty.

‘Don’t fall. Don’t fall……!’

“Ah!”

As I feared, I ended up falling. I fell forward, not backward, and though I was able to protect the violin I was holding, my palms felt raw, as if they were scraped. Isabelle will have something to say when she sees my scraped hands…….

“I’m sorry, kid. Are you okay?”

The person who collided with me supported me, looking unsure of what to do. First, I checked if my violin was alright, then I brushed the dirt off my dress.

“I’m sorry. I couldn’t see ahead.”

“It’s fine.”

I looked up to see the face of the man who had fallen with me. The man was impeccably dressed, appearing noble, but his face was hidden by a hat pulled down and a scarf that covered his mouth.

‘No wonder he couldn’t see ahead.’

Something seemed suspicious about him.

“Are you really okay? Your hands are all scraped.”

“It doesn’t hurt at all.”

“I’m sorry, but……Huh?”

The man who was examining my hands looked up at me. His expression changed, as if he had met his longlost daughter.

“……You!”

“Yes?”

Do I know him? I had no acquaintance with any nobles besides Mrs. Backus and Mrs. Fenton.

“What are you doing here?”

A voice came from behind the middleaged man; it seemed he had a companion. When the companion appeared, my actions momentarily froze. The man with silver hair and purple eyes was certainly someone I knew.

“Ah, Aymar.”

“……What’s going on?”

“Ah, I just tripped with this girl.”

Upon hearing the name, I was sure. He was the Count of Fenton.

Why was he in the marketplace at this early hour? Shouldn’t he be working at his trading company in the capital?

As I was puzzled, the Count noticed me too.

“……A familiar face.”

“Ah, hello. I’m Li, Lise Marsen.”

I hesitated but finally greeted him. The Count’s expression didn’t reveal much except perhaps a slight surprise.

“Yes, nice to meet you.”

“…….”

“But have you finished browsing the market? I’m getting tired.”

Count Fenton was indifferent to me. It was only natural. The relationship between my father and Count Fenton was famously poor.

I wanted to get out of the awkward situation. I needed to wash my dirty hands in the nearby river.

As I was about to quietly step away, someone grabbed my shoulder.

“Wait! It’s that girl!”

“……?”

It was the man who had bumped into me.

“I knew I was right! One of the children of the Marsen family! It’s her, that girl!”

What did I do? I was scared and confused, but the man was quite pleased with himself, smiling brightly.

“That girl? She’s only ten years old. Kito.”

“Yes! No doubt! Aymar!”

At the familiar name, I flinched. Kito? Surely……Baron Kito?

He was the one who sent me the letter. He was also a famous figure known by all. Surprised, I stood there dumbly, forgetting about my scraped hands.

“Your name is Lise?”

“……Yes.”

“I’m suddenly sorry. I actually sent a letter to the Marsen family to find you, but there was no reply. So I thought you were a child from another family. I’ve been looking for you.”

He pulled down his scarf to give me a kindly smile, revealing his gray hair and gentle face. I remembered his portrait from the newspaper.

He then quickly pulled his scarf back up to cover his mouth.

“Why didn’t you reply?”

“Ah, I didn’t see it.”
She answered, still in a daze. She had taken the letter to the park to read without Isabel knowing and lost it.

“Oh dear. It seems the letter has gone astray.”

“……But why did you send the letter to me?”

She was curious.

“It’s too noisy here. Shall we go to the square and talk?”

“What?”

“Just give me some time for finding you all this while. Lise.”

Baron Kito spoke, and Count Fenton, who was beside him, chimed in.

“You really are stubborn.”

Cold Male Lead Became My Clingy Husband (Female-Dominant)

Feng Bai Su transmigrated into a matriarchal novel, becoming the sister of the female protagonist and the Seventh Princess of the Feng Ling Kingdom.

After working herself to death in her previous life, finally reincarnating as a princess, she only wanted to be a lazy fish who could eat, sleep, and play.

Until she met the male protagonist from the book, Wei Jing Mo, and he took a liking to her!

Wei Jing Mo is the top young man in Feng Ling City, talented in both appearance and ability, from a prestigious family, with a cold and otherworldly appearance, a figure like the bright moon in the hearts of noble ladies. It was thought that only the most powerful and talented noble lady in Feng Ling City would be worthy of such a brilliant young man. Who knew that this young gentleman would secretly admire the infamous Seventh Princess?

Short scene 1:

Feng Bai Su looked at the young man crying like a pear blossom in the rain before her, and couldn’t help but doubt her life.

Wasn’t the male lead described as a cold and otherworldly figure in the book?

Then who was this poor little thing crying with swollen red eyes and tear-stained face?

Short scene 2:

Wei Jing Mo stared intently at Feng Bai Su who was about to go out, wanting to say, “Be careful on the road.”

Before he could speak, Feng Bai Su suddenly bent down and bit his cheek.

Her peach blossom eyes were full of disdain: “Tsk! You’re so clingy!”

Wei Jing Mo: “…”

A talented fox spirit female lead with a flirtatious appearance but actually abstinent VS A cold-looking but actually naive and clingy little jealous male lead
