Tiendavis - For Perfect Salvation (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 61
“Do you, my lord Count, know what will happen later—do you know the future?”
When Ivy asked, hiding her hesitation, Sion’s eyes widened.
Even Ivy, who had been feigning composure, felt her pupils tremble violently at the sight of the ever-cold Count so utterly startled.
Unconsciously, Ivy swallowed a shaky breath, then bit her lip as if to deny it. But that couldn’t conceal the bewilderment welling up inside her. Her obvious agitation was laid bare through her ragged breathing.
“I’ll come back later—I just remembered something urgent…!”
In the end, Ivy couldn’t bear it any longer and rose from her seat.
But she couldn’t take even a single step afterward. Sion had reflexively grabbed her as she tried to flee with an excuse that sounded nothing like one.
Sion, who had risen at some point without her noticing, pressed down on Ivy’s shoulders. As a result, Ivy sank back down helplessly.
Seeing Ivy sit limply, Sion removed his hands from her shoulders—but they didn’t go far. Instead, he braced them against the back of the sofa beside her head. Thus, Ivy found herself trapped between the sofa and his two arms.
Though held against her will, Ivy couldn’t protest to Sion. She couldn’t even bring herself to look directly at the man who’d forced her back into her seat.
As Ivy turned her head away, avoiding his gaze, the sturdy wooden frame of the sofa creaked. It was the sound of wood and leather groaning under the pressure of Sion’s grip.
At that sound, Ivy hunched her shoulders further, but Sion didn’t withdraw his arms.
‘Why?’
He asked silently instead.
‘You were the one who brought it up—so why run away?’
