At Ivy’s words, the count’s brow furrowed once again.

So Ivy secretly smiled to herself—thinking, *Ah, frowning must be this man’s habit.*

With a bright, cheerful smile, Ivy addressed the skeptical count.

“It’s a curse that forces me to answer any question honestly. A bit strange, isn’t it?”

Ivy asked playfully, but the count gave no reply at all.

He seemed unsure whether she was serious or joking.

But Ivy ignored his confusion and continued.

“I was already under the curse when I first met you, Count. That’s why I blurted out that you were ill-mannered. Honestly, you did seem rude—not even acknowledging my greeting.”

She spoke sweetly, as if confessing a small, endearing mistake.

Thus, Sion found himself pondering even more deeply whether her words were true.

A curse? He’d never heard of such a thing. His astrologer hadn’t mentioned it.

Yet, there were too many oddities to simply dismiss it as a lie.

Until now, the Ivy most familiar to Sion was the one who gave strange answers to questions and then hurriedly covered her own mouth.

“Even when you came to my house the next day, and again when we met at the tower—I said so many odd things, didn’t I? All of that was because of the curse.”
