The grand finale of the year—the Duke of Portland’s homecoming party—had finally come to an end.

As the year drew to a close, the entire kingdom of Etrania was steeped in festive cheer for the Founding Day holiday.

Everyone hummed songs celebrating Founding Day, and children giggled merrily, dressed in clothes or adorned with decorations bearing the golden Stella, the symbol of Etrania.

Thanks to Louisa, who always made sure to properly observe Founding Day, the Aberitt estate remained bustling with activity even after all the year-end festivities had officially concluded.

The decorative tapestries on the walls had been changed, and sparkling star and snowflake ornaments now hung near the fireplace.

Even the estate’s servants were caught up in the excitement, cheerfully chattering as they hung garlands and other festive decorations everywhere.

“Oh my, Miss Louisa! Isn’t this Founding King figurine just adorable?”

One servant lifted a small diorama depicting an armed man beside a snow-covered cabin and said.

Even the servants of Aberitt Manor had by now grown quite accustomed to their new mistress.

The brother who had accompanied the estate’s new master was a gentle woman—graceful, courteous, and always speaking to them with a soft, warm smile.

Because of this, Louisa was quite popular among the staff; anyone who had spoken with her, man or woman, had blushed at least once.

Louisa cupped her cheeks and marveled at the miniature.

“Goodness! How could it possibly be so charming?”

“Should we place it on that white rug over there?”
