Perhaps this was the story she most wanted to hear. Min-jeong, with her lips now lifted, made a promise to So-yeon that was not typical of her. From now on, she vowed not to torment anyone weaker than her and to cherish her juniors. She promised not to harm another person unnecessarily. Touched by Min-jeong’s firm determination, So-yeon smiled.

It was the first time she had seen Oh Min-jeong express sincere remorse.

She met Han Seung-jae.

After enduring everything for Han Seung-jae, Yoo Jung-hwa finally escaped from Han Seung-jae’s officetel around 9 PM.

Following a chaotic drive, Jung-hwa found herself in front of a university hospital. However, she didn’t know why she had come here. Nevertheless, since she had come this far, she couldn’t just turn back. She already knew which room Eom So-yeon was admitted to.

After parking her car in the external parking lot, Jung-hwa looked around the dark and wide parking lot before turning off the car engine. She then stood still for a moment, contemplating her thoughts.

Did Tae Seo-jun love Eom So-yeon so much?

Enough to risk his life to protect her?

Love?

What is that? There’s no such thing in this world. Even the natural bond between parents and children disappears in front of money. But how far can love between two men go? Even if it’s believed to be a strong love, it will eventually fade away and become forgotten.

Even the rational love of the same sex will be thrown away like tissue paper sooner or later. Especially Tae Seo-jun; he was a man who had experienced such love.

So, let’s see. Eom So-yeon will be discarded even more miserably than me.

But what about this? Before that, you’ll lose something significant. I have a nasty habit of not letting others enjoy what I can’t have. Your son is in Vancouver, Canada, right?

Sorry, I’ve reached my limit now.

“Hehe…”

Jung-hwa, who had entered the hospital unnoticed, chuckled. She hadn’t realized why she found it so enjoyable. Her crimson lips, which had risen in a cheerful smile, didn’t come back down.

And at that moment.

“Yoo Jung-hwa.”

“!”
Turning her squeaky gaze to the side, Jung-hwa couldn’t help but be surprised. Now, due to Vice President Han, both her body and mind were torn apart. The reason for her discomfort at the moment was Tae Seo-jun towering over her with his imposing stature.

His lips were sharply defined, elegantly accompanied by a subtle smile. His eyes lowered with a seemingly nonchalant gaze. In his entire face, there was an aura she had never experienced before. The smile that had just been radiant was erased so cleanly that Jung-hwa’s spine shivered.

Even though it was clearly the time transitioning from summer to fall, she felt a biting cold as if exposed to the harsh winter frost that chilled her skin.

While Seo-jun was walking toward the reception desk to go through the discharge process, he received a call from the investigator, reaching him mid-stride. The detective informed Seo-jun that Yoo Jung-hwa’s arrest warrant had just been issued. However, due to the current circumstances, they couldn’t execute the arrest as they couldn’t determine her location.

Continuing the call, Seo-jun inadvertently threw a glance, and what met his gaze was Jung-hwa, who had just entered the hospital.

“Head over in this direction.”

What?

“I’m currently at the hospital. Yoo Jung-hwa.”

After ending the call, Seo-jun walked briskly, looking down at the startled Jung-hwa. His dry gaze seemed to penetrate the desolate soul of a fallen human.

A handful of the past.

No, not even a speck of pity for the dust. Seo-jun, his lips tinged with a sarcastic smile, signaled for Jung-hwa to follow and passed her, moving straight out of the hospital.

Walking with a broad stride, Seo-jun turned around at a flower bed decorating one side of the outdoor parking lot.

Firmly.

Jung-hwa’s steps also came to a halt following him.

Two people stood facing each other between the inconspicuous building and the parking lot, shadows casting long over them, making the darkness even denser.

Male lead Asks for a Divorce Every Day

It’s not often you come across a plot like this in the female-dominant genre — make sure to check it out!

This is a novel I’m planning to reread as well.

The male lead is strong, skilled in martial arts, and not the usual fragile type you often see in matriarchal novels.

Meanwhile, the female lead is a scientist—rational and logical. Even when she falls for the male lead, she doesn’t let her emotions cloud her decisions.

If you push through the first few chapters, you’ll gradually find the story really intriguing.

It has a mix of mystery, detective elements, and romance.

The author’s writing style is like crafting a puzzle—except they deliberately leave out a few pieces, making it hard to predict what happens next, yet keeping you hooked.

In the end, everything will come together and be explained.

One-sentence summary: Wife, stop playing with beakers and look at me!

In a laboratory accident, research scientist Zhu Wansheng accidentally travels to a matriarchal world. The original owner of the body is an eighteen-year-old only daughter of a wealthy rouge merchant, already married with a handsome young man.

Zhu Wansheng grins: Nice! She always said she was heaven’s favorite granddaughter. After a life of toil in her previous life, she can enjoy blessings in this one.

However, her joy lasts no more than three seconds as bad news arrives: the original owner’s family is about to go bankrupt, and her husband wants a divorce.

Even worse, she’s stuck with a research system full of restrictions.

Zhu Wansheng: ? Is this the destiny of a research dog?

——

Faced with this mess, Zhu Wansheng pours herself a bowl of wine to drown her sorrows. In her drunken haze, her husband arrives.

His figure is imposing, holding a long sword, with a dignified air that captivates Zhu Wansheng.

Gu Yingqing, however, looks at the alcohol-reeking Zhu Wansheng with undisguised disgust and coldly asks, “Divorce or not?” The intoxicated Zhu Wansheng mumbles vaguely, “I think… it’s not… it’s not… impossible!”

——

The next day, after sobering up, Zhu Wansheng is full of energy, rolling up her sleeves ready to make a big move. As for yesterday? She has no memory of it.

Zhu Wansheng is ambitious; a research dog fears nothing!

Upgrading rouge, extracting fragrances, producing perfumes, researching lipsticks… all shall bow to the power of modern technology!

The original owner’s dying rouge shop is revitalized. Her mother is pleased and with a wave of her hand, passes on the family business to her. As she takes control and her experimental results gain popularity, it’s the pinnacle of her life…

——

But there are always those who can’t stand to see her doing well. Jealousy, scheming, assassination attempts – they want nothing less than her life.

The person who has always kept his distance from her suddenly holds her tightly in his arms, eyes full of concern.

She is unharmed, but he falls into a pool of blood…

Zhu Wansheng feels guilty, “I can grant you one wish.”

Gu Yingqing tentatively circles his arms around her, carefully resting his head in the crook of her neck, pleading softly, “I regret it. Can we not divorce?”

Zhu Wansheng: ? When did I agree to a divorce?

[Small Theater]

The newly developed rouge is beautifully packaged, and Zhu Wansheng is eager to try it.

Gu Yingqing suddenly appears: “My lady, may I apply it for you?”

Cool fingertips lightly brush her lips. His Adam’s apple bobs as he leans in for a light bite.

Zhu Wansheng: ?

Gu Yingqing: It smells so good, I wanted to taste it…

On a warm spring day, Zhu Wansheng tries a new perfume: “Spring Night.” Gu Yingqing corners her against a wall.

Warm breath lingers on her neck.

“My lady, from now on, may I test the fragrances for you?”
