Noticing her gaze, Damion turned toward her. Their eyes met.

“Are you really all right?”

“I am… No, it still hurts.”

Damion had started to answer immediately but paused briefly, furrowing both eyebrows as if in pain. Ansi remained silent for a while.

Had he been too obvious about feigning illness? Just as Damion was about to change his answer and say he was actually fine—

“If anything feels uncomfortable, tell me. Rest well at home for now. You’re still a patient, after all.”

“Hmm… my heart feels uncomfortable.”

Clearly, he was about to say his heart was racing so much because he was with her that it felt uncomfortable.
