Seira was enjoying tea time in the sitting room attached to her bedroom on the third floor.

The afternoon sun heralding spring was languid, and the tea and desserts were sweeter and more fragrant than usual.

She gave a faint smile as she watched Christine issuing orders to the guardsmen in the middle of the garden.

“I never expected His Lordship to offer such help.”

Just moments ago, Stone had been bound and dragged away by Christine’s guards.

To be honest, it was somewhat shocking. She never imagined her own blood relative could be that horrifying serial killer.

Of course, she’d had some inkling last night when she saw the countless skeletons in the underground crypt.

In truth, she’d done a great deal of worrying in that short time yesterday.

Should she tell Stone the truth?

Adele knew about the skeletons, so the guards would soon storm in to arrest her older brother. She should urge him to destroy the evidence quickly. For the sake of the family, that would have been the right thing to say.

But the person in question was Stone.

According to Adele, he was a serial killer, and there was no guarantee he’d spare her life once he realized she knew the truth about the evidence.

Of course, he might have been grateful and destroyed the evidence himself—after all, they were blood relatives.

But then what?

Stone would become the Emperor’s son-in-law, and April would become mistress of this mansion. All Seira would be left with was the hollow honor of being related to the Imperial family.
