“Are you serious, Duke Crighton?”

“Yes! Now that I’m certain of your feelings, Miss Tanya, I won’t hesitate any longer. I love you, Tanya!”

Zimmer immediately pulled her into a tight embrace and began kissing her passionately. His kiss was so intense and fervent that Tanya couldn’t breathe.

“Mmph! Your Grace… Mmph! I can’t… Ugh!”

Gasping for air, Tanya roughly pushed Zimmer away.

“Hah!”

Then she opened her eyes… and realized she was clutching not Zimmer, but a large pillow.

“Oh! I’m going crazy! Absolutely crazy!”

Though no one was watching, she was so embarrassed that she buried her face in the pillow and kicked off the blanket.

Ever since their meeting at the banquet that day, Tanya felt as if she had awakened to her feelings for Zimmer. She could no longer hide her affection for him. She couldn’t fathom how she’d managed to suppress such an overwhelming emotion for so long.
