The children’s quarrel injured each other.
Some may have been complacent even knowing that Lotera could be blamed.
All they could rely on was Lotera.
In a way, they might have misunderstood that Lotera had abandoned them.
Especially the ignorant children would have felt more so.
All the arrows seemed to be aimed at Isabella, and she did not feel good.
But seeing Casius, who came to comfort with an awkward face, a smile inevitably formed.
Casius reached out to Lenisha.
“Isabella seems to be asleep, so let’s go back too.”
Lenisha took his hand.
Now she was familiar with Casius’s body temperature.
Feeling refreshed in the morning after spending the night crouched in his arms.
Perhaps because of the power of the red snake, Casius’s body temperature was unusually high, and when she was in his arms, even her heart felt warm.
Unknowingly dyed, she eventually became addicted.
Lenisha chuckled.
She thought she was great, but looking back, she was just the same woman, a human being.
“What will we do when we go back? How will you comfort me?”
Lenisha asked in a sweet voice.
“……I can’t sing well.”
“What?”
Casius said to Lenisha with a serious face.
“I asked the maids for effective ways to comfort.”
“And?”
“Eating something delicious together is good, singing a song is good, writing a letter is good. I received various recommendations… I might be able to imitate other things, but I don’t think I can sing. What do you like best, Lenisha?”
You can’t sing, so choose to avoid it?
From the beginning, this man may not know that it is cute even to look for such a sincere way to comfort.
She thought it would be nice if he never knew this in his life.
At least for Lenisha.
“I like… being in Casius’s arms the best.”
Casius stopped in his tracks.
With a blush, his gaze at Lenisha was tinged with shyness.
“Cough. That is…….”
“That is?”
“Um. The night is not yet deep.”
“And?”
“I, I know you haven’t had dinner yet…….”
“What are you thinking right now, Casius?”
Lenisha feigned a surprised expression.
She understood everything Casius meant.
She also knows that Lenisha’s words could be taken that way.
And she couldn’t say that she had no such feelings at all.
Casius had naturally permeated Lenisha.
Casius had been part of Lenisha’s daily life for a long time.
But why, whenever she saw Casius, did she want to tease him like this?
“I didn’t mean that.”
“Lenisha? I am, no. Then what do you mean……?”
“I just wanted to hug you like this.”
Lenisha hugged Casius tightly.
The hallway, the presence of others, it didn’t matter at all.
The maids turned their heads before the affectionate Duke couple.
“If Casius took it that way… I’m okay with it. I understand Casius.”
“Lenisha! I am, I am… I just… I wasn’t like that!”
Casius, with a flustered face, said and took a deep breath.
He was not a person who was easily flustered.
And he never easily revealed his heart.
Being naive on the battlefield was likely to get his nose cut off.
He had to be able to hide his inner feelings to become a true knight.
On the battlefield, he was the praised knight Casius, but why did he become such a fool only in front of Lenisha?
Casius bit his tongue slightly.
If he was going to say such things, it would be better if he had no tongue.
Lenisha burst into laughter.
Casius’s flustered face must have been funny.
These days, Lenisha seemed to live for the fun of teasing Casius.
Casius let out a slight sigh.
“……If Lenisha is happy, I’m happy too.”
His voice was a little drained.
Lenisha grabbed Casius’s hand again.
I liked that Casius was cute. He looks cute, but he thinks indecently.
Casius sighed again.
“That gap is supposed to be attractive. An indecent mature woman.”
Lenisha’s eyes sparkled like flowers filled with life.
Indecent mature woman… Indecent mature woman…
Casius lost his soul.
Is this right…?
He was doubtful.
(This is a time separator.)
Count Caliet remembered his pact with Lenisha.
And before Lenisha left, he had sent Casius to remind him of that promise.
Count Caliet had to move for Lenisha.
Furthermore, he even obtained the emperor’s permission, much to Turiel’s satisfaction.
After a long time, Count Caliet entered the imperial palace.
It was to pay homage to the emperor before leaving.
It was a natural procedure since it involved moving the army.
“Hmm.”
Lexus raised his lips.
There was a glass in his hand.
The liquid staining Lexus’s lips was purple, so it was clear he had been drinking since noon.
“Count Caliet. Seeing your face is as hard as picking a star from the sky?”
His voice was soaked in alcohol, lethargic.
Lexus was a remarkable emperor in many ways.
Even wasting his time drinking and enjoying his drink, his country rolled well.
The insides might be rotting, but the cowards who wanted to preserve their necks did Lexus’s work for him.
But, that too has an end.
Hasn’t Lenisha gone missing?
Everyone would know that Lenisha’s merit was essential in maintaining Lexus’s country’s appearance.
When male lead is the homewrecker
“I know she doesn’t love him.”
I’ve read the novel below twice already. Girls, I’m highly recommending it to you!
The female lead? Not a good person.
The second male lead? Not a good person.
The male lead? Willingly plays the third party, breaking up the female and second male lead’s relationship despite all the warnings from his friends—so yeah, he’s definitely not a good person either.
Basically, nobody in this novel is simple-minded or without scheming.
The female lead starts off as the male lead’s secretary, but don’t worry—later on, she takes over the company while the male lead steps back to support her. He won’t steal her spotlight, overshadow her, or dull her shine.
I love novels where men are out here snatching wigs, tearing each other down, and going to war just to win the female lead’s affection. And this is exactly that kind of novel. Most of Hai Dai Ran’s works have this dynamic. You’ll see the male characters’ emotions being pushed to the absolute extreme.
There’s even a scene where the second male lead exposes the male lead online for being a homewrecker. The brotherhood immediately gangs up on him, dragging him through the mud. I find it compelling —it completely flips reality on its head, where usually, women are the ones fighting over a man and getting torn apart by the sisterhood.
For me, female leads in the novels I read should only struggle in their careers, not in love. But if the brainless romantics in the story are all men? I have zero complaints.
I’ve pretty much read all of Hai Dai Ran’s novels and even translated all of them—her works are just my thing. I’ll slowly upload everything here. One day, when my website is official, I hope I can invite her to join as one of the star authors.
Here’s the story synopsis:
