There Is No Paradise Where I Ran Away To (14 Chapters Left to Complete) - Chapter 71
Charlotte’s steps as she hurried down the stairs were tinged with joy. Though she had received word that Edwin and Vivian, who had departed for the capital, wouldn’t arrive until tomorrow morning at the earliest, she heard that evening they had arrived earlier than expected—and couldn’t contain her overwhelming delight.
Their condition was undoubtedly the most important matter, yet if all went well, they might be freed from Rottermond as early as tomorrow or, at the latest, the day after. Recalling the suffocatingly painful days she’d endured, she longed to leave Rottermond immediately.
Charlotte stepped out of the manor, but Susanna was nowhere to be seen. Though puzzled by Susanna’s lack of reaction to her returning son, Charlotte was simply happy that she could rejoice freely.
When she heard the sound of the carriage procession crossing the drawbridge, a bright smile bloomed on her face. By the time the carriage carrying the two arrived before the manor, her cheeks had flushed pink.
The carriage door opened, and Edwin stepped out first, guided by a servant holding a lamp.
“Your Grace.”
Charlotte beamed and curtsied politely. It had been a long while since she had greeted Edwin with such a bright expression, given their recent tension over the marriage issue.
“Have you been well?”
Edwin, seemingly aware of this, smiled gently and patted Charlotte’s head.
“Yes, of course. Upon hearing you’d arrived earlier than expected, I instructed the servants to prepare your bathwater right away.”
“I’m glad to see you’re healthy and well.”
Charlotte gave a bashful smile, then turned with cheerful greetings toward Vivian, who now appeared behind her, stepping down with a servant’s support.
“Vivian!”
Vivian, standing on the ground, lifted her head and met Charlotte’s gaze. Her face, too, was bright and clear with joy.
“Charlotte. Have you been well? I’ve missed you so much.”

My Step-brother Is Obsessed With Me (Female-dominant)
A gentle female protagonist vs pitiful in the early stage, and a sick male protagonist in the later stage
Cheng Songer transmigrated into the body of a vicious cannon fodder female supporting character with the same name as her in a female-dominant novel.
In the original story, the cannon fodder female supporting character was inhumane, committing domestic violence, gambling excessively, being lustful, and even wanting to sell her stepbrother to a brothel for money.
As luck would have it, she just happened to transmigrate at this time.
Seeing Cheng Qingzhi biting his lip, enduring the tears in his eyes, looking pitiful, her heart softened.
She stuffed the money back into the Madam’s hand and reached out to him.
“Brother, come home with me.”
