Forcing his eyes open against the swirling sand, he looked ahead and saw Rogette already gripping her sword and charging toward her opponent. Her blade shone with a bright light, as if wrapped in aura.

“Kid, it’s dangerous!”

Lucas also drew his sword from its scabbard and took a stance, but Rogette warned him again.

“Don’t come!”

Lucas understood the meaning hidden in her sharp voice and Bibi’s cry. They were worried about him, but at the same time, they were treating him as an interference.

Lucas stopped himself from rushing forward and anxiously watched Rogette.

If he intervened now, he would likely only get in the way.
