Duke Adrian recalled the pink-haired girl he had seen in the square, Rosette.
On his way to the orphanage, he had felt a strong surge of mana and had headed towards it to understand the situation. It was an unusual occurrence for this quaint little town.
There, he met the girl with pink hair.
Rosette, a name that suited her well, possessed the greatest potential he had ever seen, even to his untrained eye in magic. As an adult, it was only natural to want to nurture such potential in a child.
But there was another reason for Duke Adrian’s interest.
“And I felt compelled to protect her.”
The image of her trembling and crying pitifully haunted him. He couldn’t leave her alone, knowing he would keep thinking about the child.
Ideally, he wanted to take her to the Adrian mansion that very day, if only Rosette agreed.
It was strange. He had only felt this way about his own children before.
“If she’s with the Adrian family, we can trust you with the child. Oh, here comes Rosette.”

The head priest greeted Rosette cautiously as she entered the room. Her face turned pale upon seeing Duke Adrian sitting across.
Understanding her fear, the head priest thought, ‘It’s natural for a child to be afraid of nobles.’
Duke Adrian, a true sword master, had a robust build and was taller than most knights, which could be intimidating to a child, especially the delicate and sensitive Rosette. After the unpleasant incident in the town, her fear was understandable.
The head priest gently took Rosette’s arm, trying to comfort her.
“Rosette, you’ve already met him, but let me introduce you again. This is Duke Adrian, a good man. You don’t need to be afraid.”
But Rosette couldn’t relax and was struggling to breathe. Duke Adrian, noticing her distress, knelt down in front of her.
“Rosette, was it? You don’t have to worry. I’m here to protect you.”
“I, I just…”
Trying to speak, Rosette suddenly jerked her hand away from Duke Adrian and ran out of the head priest’s office.
The head priest turned pale at her unexpected reaction.

“I apologize, she’s not usually like this.”
“I understand. She’s had a rough day, and children are naturally afraid of nobles.”
Duke Adrian rose from his seat without any sign of offense.
“I apologize for the sudden visit. She seems quite startled today, so I’ll visit again tomorrow.”
After a polite farewell, Duke Adrian left the office. The head priest watched him leave, feeling reassured.
‘With a family like that, Rosette will be safe,’ he thought.
Rosette, back in her room, leaned against the door. She wanted to lock it, but the room shared by over ten children had no lock.
Instead, she pressed her ear against the door, listening for any sounds outside. She worried Duke Adrian or the head priest might follow, but all was quiet except for distant chatter of children.
After about five minutes, Rosette finally relaxed and reflected on the recent events.
“Why does Duke Adrian want to see me?”
Rosette was shocked when she encountered Duke Adrian in the village. She had never expected to meet him, of all people, especially not here where even Duke Dallas was a rare sight.

She almost fainted when he personally took her and Jane to the orphanage, but she tried to calm herself down.
From what she had heard before turning back time, Duke Adrian was a very kind man.
Especially known for his good deeds towards children. Being a father of three, he was thought to be particularly gentle with kids, nobles speculated.
So it made sense that he couldn’t just stand by and watch her and Jane being harassed by the villagers.
‘That’s why he took us to the orphanage.’
She tried to convince herself of this until she saw Duke Adrian in the head priest’s office earlier.
But why was he looking for her? Could he, a magician, know that she had turned back time? Was he seeking revenge for Rosette, who had killed him in a previous life?
‘No, that can’t be.’
Rosette shook her head.
The ancient tome about time magic she had read clearly stated that no one other than the caster would remember the past. So even Duke Adrian couldn’t remember it.
And even if he did, he wouldn’t recognize her.
In her previous life, Rosette had the appearance of a noble lady, thanks to Duke Dallas’s material support.
But now? Her scruffy appearance and thin body, except for her pink hair, had nothing in common with her past self.
He wouldn’t know she killed him. He couldn’t.
‘But what if he does?’
As Rosette nervously bit her nails, Jane’s voice came from beyond the door.
“Rosette? Are you in there? Can I come in?”
“Yeah, sure.”
Rosette stepped away from the door, and Jane entered. Seeing Rosette biting her nails, Jane frowned.
“You’re biting your nails again. How many times have I told you it hurts when they get too short?”

Gently pulling Rosette’s hand, Jane carefully checked for any bleeding. Rosette felt tears well up in her eyes.
‘I’m so glad Jane is safe.’
In Dallas’s house, Rosette had also been reprimanded for biting her nails.
My Arch-enemy Sealed My Memory and Said That He is My Husband
This is an incredibly captivating story that you absolutely shouldn’t miss! I’ll give a brief introduction here, and below you’ll find a detailed synopsis of the plot.
The female lead is a fierce and powerful demon king. The male lead is a once-in-a-millennium celestial lord, admired by the entire cultivation world.
They are equally matched, legendary rivals who have battled for centuries.
In the final duel, the female lead is gravely injured. The male lead saves her, seals her memories, and hides her true identity. He tells her that he is her fiancé. His entire life has been flawless—except for the one thing he never expected, never controlled, and never wanted to control: falling for his greatest enemy. She is his inner demon, his obsession.
When the female lead regains her memories, she is furious at his deception.
She makes his life a living hell.
And somehow, the male lead—possibly a total masochist—doesn’t mind at all. In fact, he’s happy she’s paying attention to him.
Yep, we’re back to my favorite trope: male lead suffering. If you love this kind of story, jump into the pit with me now!!!
Intro
Dong Xia lost her memory.
Her handsome and extremely powerful fiancé Li Qing comforted her: “It’s okay if you can’t remember. I’ll always be with you.”
Everyone thought Dong Xia’s ancestors must have burned incense to get such a perfect fiancé. He was the number one person in the immortal realm, yet he remained chaste and only loved her.
…
The day before marrying her fiancé, Dong Xia finally remembered everything.
She wasn’t suffering from memory loss at all.
Her arch-enemy had made her fake her death, destroyed her cultivation, replaced her memories, and pretended to be her deeply in love fiancé.
No wonder he said, “It’s okay if you can’t remember”!
Dong Xia laughed coldly as she pulled out her long knife: Li Qing, prepare to die 🙂
*
Li Qing, as the supreme being of the immortal realm, was the people’s shining beacon.
The only unknown stain in his life was his affection for Dong Xia, the ruler of the demon realm.
In the final battle of the war between immortals and demons, the sky collapsed and the earth shattered. The ruler of the demon realm was finally slain under the sword of the supreme being of the immortal realm, and everyone in the immortal realm applauded.
The cultivation world lost a ruler of the demon realm.
And in the back mountain of Li Qing’s cave dwelling, he secretly hid away a fiancée.
