Sunday, the day he was supposed to meet Leon.

Si Hyeon had come to visit Soo Yeon long before their appointed time, fussing around excitedly.

“Auntie, could you try this on?”

Though the dress was modest with no revealing parts, to Soo Yeon—who had spent years wearing an apron—it looked terribly out of place. She felt like a maid who had secretly borrowed a princess’s gown.

“We went to the department store early this morning and picked this out together with Tae Ha. What do you think? Do you like it?”

“You really didn’t have to go to so much trouble for me.”

After dressing Soo Yeon in the new outfit, Si Hyeon also took her to a beauty salon.

“Our eldest sister is going to show herself off today, so please make her look beautiful!”

It took two whole hours to finish her makeup and hairstyle.

“Our sister is so beautiful!”

Si Hyeon clapped her hands joyfully upon seeing Soo Yeon’s finished look, but Soo Yeon still felt awkward looking at her own reflection in the mirror.

Yet she didn’t outright refuse and meekly followed Si Hyeon’s lead, simply because she didn’t want to look shabby in front of the man she was meeting after twenty-five years.

She’d only glimpsed him from afar, but he remained as handsome as ever—so unchanged that it was hard to believe so many years had passed.

She knew no amount of dressing up could hide her age, but she still wanted to make the utmost effort.

“But does he even know he’s meeting me today?”
