“Ms. Kang Si Hyeon has no feelings for me at all.”

Standing firmly in front of Si Hyeon as if shielding her from Jeong Im, Tae Ha spoke.

“I was the only one who liked her.”

Si Hyeon froze in place. What on earth was happening right now…?

Tae Ha continued speaking. Though all Si Hyeon could see was his back, his voice sounded utterly confident.

“It was unrequited love from the very beginning, and I’ve been chasing her one-sidedly this whole time. Ms. Kang Si Hyeon had no interest in me before the broken engagement, and certainly none now.”

Jeong Im flinched upon seeing the man who had suddenly appeared.

When her son had mentioned that Si Hyeon had a man, Jeong Im had imagined some freeloading, sleazy layabout living off women.

So she’d assumed this young guy was just kept on the side as a secret lover while Si Hyeon planned to officially marry her capable son.

But the man standing before her was completely unlike that image. His well-tailored suit, his self-assured demeanor and voice—all clearly marked him as an elite in anyone’s eyes.

“What… So you’re that, uh, you know…?”

“My name is Yoon Tae Ha. I work here as the Head of the Digital Strategy Division.”

Having never worked in a company herself, Jeong Im didn’t fully grasp what that title meant, but she could tell it was clearly a rank far above mere associate managers or section chiefs.

Even Jeong Im—who firmly believed her son was the best in the world—had to admit this man was simply incomparable to her Woo Jin. It wasn’t even a contest.
