“Congratulations to you as well, Manager, on your 20th wedding anniversary. You gave your wife such a wonderful gift—I’m honestly envious.”

“Hmm? What gift?”

The other person looked puzzled.

“And I’ve only been married to my wife for fifteen years…?”

Si Hyeon was momentarily flustered. Had she mixed up which manager he was talking about?

Yet, recalling Woo Jin’s words again, she was certain he’d meant the very person standing before her.

“My apologies, Manager. I must have confused you with someone else.”

“Hah! Even Section Chief Kim is mistaken now? There’s only one manager in the team—me! Who on earth did you mix me up with?”

“No, it’s my fault. I must have misheard something.”

After exchanging the usual polite goodbyes—telling him she’d stop by later with Woo Jin to pay her respects—Si Hyeon parted ways with him.

After a few steps, she halted abruptly, standing frozen like someone half out of their senses right in the middle of the bustling street.
