As soon as Si Hyun returned home, she came down with a fever and fell ill. It was a severe flu.

His blunt voice sounded unusually gentle, making her face feel hot again. Well, when else would I experience such luxury? Si Hyun obediently opened her mouth and took the porridge.

“Aren’t you going to work?”
“Today, I told them I’m taking a leave of absence because I have work at my company.”
His company referred to Union TA, where Tae Ha was the representative. She remembered how busy Tae Ha was, juggling his company’s affairs with the work at Future Bank.

“Even though you are busy with work, go. I will take care of taking medicine and resting on my own.”
Tae Ha put down his spoon and sighed.

“Do you think work is more important to me, or do you think you are?”

After finishing the porridge and administering the medicine, Tae Ha laid Si Hyun down again. Leaning against the bed frame, he asked while rubbing her back.

Turning her back so her face was not visible made it easier to talk. Si Hyun realized that Tae Ha was considering her possible embarrassment.

I can tell you even if you see my face, it’s okay. You are on my side after all.

“Last night, I went to the newlywed’s house.”
“Why would you go there in the middle of the night?”
“We had a wedding photoshoot a while ago. So there were wedding photos hanging in the living room. I wanted to sort out my thoughts while looking at those photos, one last time.”
Thinking about it now, it seemed like she had already made up her mind even before going there. She just wanted to confirm it one last time.

Resting her head against Tae Ha’s broad back, Si Hyun laughed. She wasn’t forcing herself to laugh, it was genuinely funny. Remembering the sight of the two grown adults kneeling side by side in their underwear, she couldn’t help but laugh.

Laughing out loud made her already aching body hurt more. Because of the muscle pain, Si Hyun apologized in between her grimacing laughter.

“Anyway, I’m sorry to you. I ended up terrorizing your eyes in the middle of the night without intending to.”
“No, you did well.”
Tae Ha nodded his head.

“If you hadn’t done that, not only your phone but you might have been in danger too.”
Si Hyun thought about it. Would they really have gone that far?

She remembered Woo Jin, who, despite being caught redhanded, did not apologize, but instead barged in late at night, ranting at her for what she had done.
