“Why are you avoiding me?”
“Eh? When did I….”
Yeo Woon stretched her words, feeling somewhat embarrassed. She had been looking at her toes, but now she sneakily raised her head to look at Seol Ji Oh.
He was dressed in comfortable sportswear, perhaps because of the camping concept. His hair, unlike usual, was left natural and made his impression seem much softer.
She intended to look only briefly, but she had trouble averting her eyes, whether it was because she was seeing his face after a long time, or because it was the face she had been thinking about every day for the last two weeks.
Then, Seol Ji Oh abruptly asked,
“Is it because of our kiss?”
Yeo Woon was startled at the mention of a kiss.
A kiss, here in the sacred office! What if someone heard!
She placed her index finger on her lips as if to tell him to be quiet, and looked around to see if anyone was listening.
Seol Ji Oh laughed at Yeo Woon’s fuss.
“Relax. We have to shoot.”
At that moment, the program’s PD entered the room. Yeo Woon, flustered, greeted him loudly, and the PD reciprocated with a smile.
The PD approached and fitted Seol Ji Oh and Yeo Woon with microphones, then relayed a brief filming guideline.
Now that the microphones were on, they were effectively ontherecord.
When they got into the car for filming, they saw cameras installed in various parts of the vehicle. The thought of numerous lenses capturing every aspect of her and Seol Ji Oh made her feel slightly tense.

Glancing over, Seol Ji Oh was holding the steering wheel with a nonchalant expression. Yeo Woon looked at Seol Ji Oh, who seemed no different than usual, with slightly resentful eyes.
Even though it was just practice for a scene, they had kissed. Was Seol Ji Oh not affected at all?
The feeling was still vivid for her…
Just as her gloomy thoughts began to sink in, Yeo Woon caught sight of the camera in front of her and snapped back to reality. Now was not the time for such leisure. This was a shooting with Seol Ji Oh’s backup, so she had to do well somehow.
Feeling that there was too little conversation in the car, Yeo Woon opened her mouth.
“Wow! It’s been a long time since I last went camping! I’m really looking forward to it.”
An awkward phrase, straight out of a textbook, slipped out. Yeo Woon was surprised at her own words and closed her lips. Seol Ji Oh chuckled next to her.
As Yeo Woon, with her mind going blank, was sweating over what to say next, Seol Ji Oh opened his mouth.
“We should eat as soon as we arrive.”
Ah, talk about food?
Thinking that it was a safe and universally likable topic, Yeo Woon nodded.
“Do you want to eat something in particular?”
“I want to have Doenjangjjigae. With Cheongyang chili peppers, making it spicy. I’ve been eating only greasy food in America.”
“Oh, we have the ingredients. Let’s make it later. We have a lot of food to eat!”
In a bright voice, Yeo Woon enumerated the ingredients loaded in the trunk one by one. Seol Ji Oh, seeing Yeo Woon’s effort, slightly lifted the corners of his mouth.
Running away from him for over two weeks, then suddenly meeting for a twoday, onenight camping trip. It must have been hard for Yeo Woon.
I thought I’d be okay, but I’m this nervous…
Seol Ji Oh briefly glanced at Yeo Woon and then turned on the audio system. When the music started playing, Yeo Woon looked puzzled.
“You don’t have to push yourself now. It’s okay, you can rest. We will have enough footage when we get there.”
…Was this his weird way of telling her to just keep quiet?

Yeo Woon, twisting the literal meaning of Seol Ji Oh’s words, wore a gloomy expression.
…
…
…
Two hours later, upon arrival at the campsite, Yeo Woon opened her mouth at the beautiful scenery spread out before her.
“Wow.”
It looked like a painting.
Aside from the deck where they could pitch the tent, the surroundings were surrounded by trees, and right in front of the deck, a fantastic sea spread out.
But admiration was only for a moment, soon the two were tirelessly unloading their luggage. The filming crew had prepared camping gear, but it was up to the two of them to set it up.
“Phew.”
The two, who had finished setting up the tent while sweating even in winter, sat on chairs outside the tent. Seol Ji Oh casually brought a blanket and gave it to Yeo Woon, then plonked down beside her.
“It’s been a while since we had some leisure time.”
“When did you say you came back from America?”
“Yesterday.”
“Wow. You must have come without much rest.”
“I’m resting now. Isn’t it great here?”
At Seol Ji Oh’s words, Yeo Woon silently gazed at the sea.
Even though the camera was still rolling and they only exchanged superficial talks with Seol Ji Oh, the awkwardness eased a bit as they continued to face each other and converse.
“I’m hungry. Shall we eat?”
At Seol Ji Oh’s words, the two started to prepare the meal. By the time they almost finished cooking, darkness had descended. When Seol Ji Oh turned on the lanterns and bulbs set up around the tent, the orange light flickered, and the atmosphere became more lively.
Male lead fell into her trap — and shattered when she walked away
This is also on my reread list!
This one is a slow burn, but when it burns, it burns hard.
Definitely worth a read, y’all!
The story follows a thousand-year-old seductive spirit who, on a bet, sets out to charm the male lead—a once-promising but unfortunate cultivator.
But just when she succeeds in making him fall for her, she heartlessly leaves, driving him to madness.
Determined to find her at all costs, he captures her, keeping her by his side no matter what, even if she hates him.
I love this kind of trope—I enjoy watching the male lead suffer in agony.
The ending drags a bit with unnecessary filler, but that’s fine.
As long as I enjoy the beginning, I’m good.
