Having pinpointed three locations, Michaela dispatched knight squads to two of them and decided to go herself to the most promising one.

Though she had only just returned, Ian remained at his post this time as well, despite worrying about her heading back into the forest so soon.

After all, that was the only way Michaela could move freely without concern.

Though it was late at night, Michaela—thanks to her wolf shifter traits possessing quite decent night vision—dashed fearlessly through the forest with several knights.

“Raphel! Lasiel!”

“My Lady!”

“Miss!”

The loud cries echoing along the dark forest path reached all the way to the waterfall.

Refusing to be drowned out by the cascading water, she raised her voice even louder.

“Raphel!! Lasiel!!”

Reaching a spot where her horse could go no further, she leapt off and ran recklessly across the uneven ground toward the back of the waterfall, hoping desperately for any sign of life.

“If you’re there, please answer me! Raphel! Lasiel!”

Whooshhh. As she rounded behind the waterfall, a fairly strong wind blew in. Michaela parted the wind and slowly approached the cave entrance.

Then, an extremely faint voice reached her ears.

“Sis…ter…”
