The moment his feet were bound by the barrier, Raphelian sensed that Lasiel’s clear aura had vanished.

It disappeared without a trace, as though it had never existed here at all, vanishing completely from his senses.

A dull ache flared in his right eye. Soon after, an even sharper pain clamped down on his heart.

The faintly cracked spot crumbled with a brittle snap, clearing the path ahead. Nothing could stop them anymore.

With merely two leaps, Raphelian vaulted over the city wall in an instant.

The pure white wolf landed lightly atop the wall and fixed his gaze on Pavel, who was being dragged away by Sevrina.
