The Wife Who Ran Away (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 42
Yeon Joo looked at Jin Wook with trembling eyes.
Everything seemed to freeze as if time had stopped. The surrounding noise vanished, and nothing else was visible except him.
How could he be here?
How could he have come all the way here…?
Instead of the words she wanted to ask, only a choked breath escaped her lips.
Jin Wook spoke toward Yeon Joo, who couldn’t utter a word or move.

His deep, dark eyes stared intently at Yeon Joo. She couldn’t read his gaze—it looked intense, tender, angry, and sorrowful all at once.
Yeon Joo finally calmed her wildly racing heart and opened her mouth.
“You didn’t… come here just to see me, did you?”
She hoped it wasn’t true. She wished instead he’d come here for work and they’d just happened to meet by chance.
Jin Wook let out a small, dry laugh.
“Do you think I came all this way just for sightseeing?”
“How… how could you have come all the way here…?”
Her words stumbled out, as if her mouth had frozen.
