Early morning.
Yeonju was brewing coffee in the kitchen with a neat appearance.
As the rich aroma of coffee beans subtly filled the house, Minah entered through one of the doors.
Wiping her wet hair roughly with a towel, Minah approached the dining room. Looking at the prepared toast and salad on the table, she commented,
“You’re diligent. You’ve prepared all this already?”
“Yes. Please sit down and eat quickly.”
“Thanks. I’ll enjoy it.”
Minah sat down, glancing towards Minwoo’s room, and shouted,
“Song Minwoo! Come out and have breakfast!”
After a while, Minwoo came out as the door opened. He was already prepared to go out.

“I’m just going out.”
As he tried to pass through the dining room, Minah called out to him.
“What? You should eat considering the effort someone put into making it. Then who will eat all this?”
“Eat it, sister. It’s just a light meal.”
“This kid. Who do you think you are? If you don’t want to eat, then don’t.”
The squabbling between the two, now a familiar sight, left Yeonju’s expression undisturbed. Yeonju spoke to Minwoo.
“Don’t say that and try a little bit. You need strength to work again.”
Seeing Yeonju’s gentle face, Minwoo hesitated for a moment. After contemplating, he finally came and sat at the table.
“Okay, I’ll eat a little.”
Yeonju placed warm coffee and toast in front of Minwoo. With a soft smile, she said,

“Enjoy your meal.”
Minwoo’s face turned red upon seeing that smile. The reason why his cheeks turned a shade of red was not noticed by others as the morning for the three of them began.
After having breakfast, Yeonju and Minah left the house together.
Their destination was a small office not far from their home.
At the entrance to the office, a sign read “.”
This was a guide company founded by Minah and like-minded people three years ago when she stopped working as a tour guide in Italy.
They collaborated with Korean travel agencies to conduct guided tours and operated their own website, where travelers could choose and request guides for Vatican Museum tours, Southern tours, city tours, etc.
Being a professional tour company with only certified guides who passed the Italian government’s national examination, they were recognized for their expertise and systematic approach, receiving positive responses from travelers.
Upon entering the small 10-square-meter office, several office desks were visible. In the middle, there was a long desk where four people were sitting.
The two men of similar age to Minah were co-CEOs who founded the company, and the two younger individuals were affiliated guides.

“Hello.”
“Welcome.”
Every Monday was the day for the weekly meeting in the office. On days without meetings, coming to the office was optional, and most would head directly to the meeting point for the guides.
To begin the meeting, everyone gathered around a long table. Yeonju was also seated on one side.
Yeonju worked here as an assistant guide and a trainee employee.
When Yeonju first came here and stayed at home for a while, Minah suggested that she join the tours. Yeonju followed Minah, assisting her during the tours, and gradually realized that she was suited for the job of a guide.
Yeonju, who graduated with a major in art history as a minor, had a keen interest in art and history. Due to family demands, she reluctantly pursued a degree in business, but in reality, Yeonju wanted to major in art history and pursue a career in that field.
Enchanted by the profession of being a guide explaining history and hidden stories at museums and historical sites, Yeonju’s life, which used to be confined to her home, now allowed her to roam the vast world.
With a new dream in mind, Yeonju had been working as an assistant guide here for the past month while preparing for the national certified guide exam to become a professional guide.
There were challenging and difficult situations at times, but she endured them. Just having a new dream made Yeonju happy. She was much happier than in the past when she had lost all hope and faced only setbacks.
“Where is Mr. Minwoo?”

An employee asked before starting the meeting. Minah replied,
“Minwoo has morning schedules, so he left right away.”
Minwoo, who majored in art, had been working as a guide for museum tours for a year. When he didn’t have guide schedules, he used to work on his paintings in the studio.
“Anyway, even if Minwoo comes to the meeting, he won’t say a word.”
As Minah spoke indifferently, she looked towards Yeonju.
“Yeonju, will you participate in the museum tour the day after tomorrow? Please convey the meeting details to Minwoo at that time.”
Although they lived in the same house, Minwoo was a hard-to-see person. Minwoo, who liked working in the studio until late at night, often slept there.
Minah wanted to avoid conversations with her brother as much as possible, so she asked Yeonju to convey the meeting details. Yeonju gladly nodded and replied,
“Yes, I’ll convey it.”
“Guide, please take our picture.”

When male lead is the homewrecker
“I know she doesn’t love him.”
I’ve read the novel below twice already. Girls, I’m highly recommending it to you!
The female lead? Not a good person.
The second male lead? Not a good person.
The male lead? Willingly plays the third party, breaking up the female and second male lead’s relationship despite all the warnings from his friends—so yeah, he’s definitely not a good person either.
Basically, nobody in this novel is simple-minded or without scheming.
The female lead starts off as the male lead’s secretary, but don’t worry—later on, she takes over the company while the male lead steps back to support her. He won’t steal her spotlight, overshadow her, or dull her shine.
I love novels where men are out here snatching wigs, tearing each other down, and going to war just to win the female lead’s affection. And this is exactly that kind of novel. Most of Hai Dai Ran’s works have this dynamic. You’ll see the male characters’ emotions being pushed to the absolute extreme.
There’s even a scene where the second male lead exposes the male lead online for being a homewrecker. The brotherhood immediately gangs up on him, dragging him through the mud. I find it compelling —it completely flips reality on its head, where usually, women are the ones fighting over a man and getting torn apart by the sisterhood.
For me, female leads in the novels I read should only struggle in their careers, not in love. But if the brainless romantics in the story are all men? I have zero complaints.
I’ve pretty much read all of Hai Dai Ran’s novels and even translated all of them—her works are just my thing. I’ll slowly upload everything here. One day, when my website is official, I hope I can invite her to join as one of the star authors.
Here’s the story synopsis:
