“Can I get you a drink?”
Yeonju turned her head at the warm voice coming from beside her.
A flight attendant stood there with a cart containing drinks and snacks.
“No, thank you.”
In response to Yeonju’s words, the flight attendant replied with a kind smile. She then pushed the cart forward and changed her position.
Yeonju checked the time. There was less than an hour left until they reached their destination.
Soon, she would arrive at an unfamiliar place and start a new life, but she wasn’t afraid. Instead, it felt like a breath of fresh air. She no longer had to live in that suffocating place.
Yeonju looked out of the airplane window. Since it was midnight, clouds faintly appeared in the darkness.
Beyond the faint clouds, the face of a person floated in her mind.
By now, he would have arrived home.

If he rushed over as soon as he received the call, he probably arrived.
What expression would he have when he realized she was gone?
At first, he would be bewildered. Then, he might get angry, and it would be incomprehensible.
Having disappeared without a word on the subject, he might feel betrayed.
But those overwhelming emotions would only last for a moment.
Being a smart person, he would quickly realize the reality and find a new wife.
This time, he would find a partner with perfect conditions to achieve his goals.
He wouldn’t want to repeat the same failure.
With these thoughts in mind, Yeonju closed her eyes.
She was now someone she didn’t need to think about. A person who could live well without her.

No, she had to disappear to live a better life.
But no matter how many times she made that resolution, he would suddenly reappear in her mind.
‘I’ll be back.’
Yeonju opened her closed eyes. The last image she saw of Jinwook kept replaying in her mind.
Wearing a flawless black suit, he stood in the entrance.
A person who hated wasting even a second spent an unusually long time at the entrance that day.
‘Once I firmly establish myself, I’ll be less busy than now.’
The voice that Najeeki spat out kept echoing in her ears.
‘Someday, when that happens, let’s go together.’
‘Whether it’s Europe or anywhere else…, wherever you want.’
His intense gaze kept flickering in front of her eyes.

‘I’ll probably get better with time.’
Yeonju tried hard to erase the scene that kept coming up and closed her eyes again.
And she prayed.
For this inexplicable emptiness to quickly disappear.
For this pain deep in her chest… to please be nothing.
Jinwook got out of the car, opened the gate, and went inside.
A woman who was tending to the garden looked surprised at his appearance and said, “Mr. Lee. What brings you here so late…”
Jinwook advanced silently with a stiff expression. Stepping firmly, he approached the entrance and opened the door. This time, the housekeeper who was at home welcomed him, saying, “Hello, sir.”
“Where is the chairman?”
“The chairman is in the study right now. What would you like for refreshments…”
Jinwook headed straight to the study. As he opened the door and entered, he saw Hongseok sitting at the desk, reading documents.

Upon Jinwook’s arrival, Hongseok glanced at him and then lowered his gaze back to the papers, saying, “You’re back from the business trip, you came quickly.”
Approaching him, Jinwook asked, “Where is Yeonju?”
“People can hear. Lower your voice.”
After confirming Yeonju’s disappearance, Jinwook first called Aran. When he asked about Yeonju’s whereabouts, Aran responded by asking what he was talking about. Her reaction clearly indicated that she knew nothing.
Aran and Hongseok were the ones Jinwook most wished for Yeonju to divorce. He thought there must be a connection between Yeonju’s departure and these two. If Aran didn’t know anything, then Hongseok might.
“Do you know where Yeonju is?”
Jinwook asked, raising his voice.
“What are you talking about regarding Yeonju?”
“I didn’t say anything.”
Hongseok calmly replied, reading only the documents. Frustrated, Jinwook exhaled roughly and said, “Just tell me where she went.”

“Oh, come on. I don’t know.”
“So, Yeonju just disappeared without a word by herself?”
Jinwook asked urgently.
“Why would Yeonju do that? Why would she do something like that?”
“Why are you asking me?”
Hongseok responded with a thick voice, staring at him.
“You, who lived together, don’t know anything.”
He rolled his tongue with an uncomfortable expression.
“If there was a reason for her to leave, she left. You should know the reason, not me.”
Tutting, Hongseok looked down at the documents again.

Watching Hongseok’s attitude, Jinwook’s mind became clouded with confusion. He didn’t seem to be lying.
Above all, Hongseok liked to solve things clearly and decisively, no matter what the issue was. Sending Yeonju somewhere while he was on a business trip didn’t suit his style.
‘Then where on earth is Yeonju…’
My Arch-enemy Sealed My Memory and Said That He is My Husband
This is an incredibly captivating story that you absolutely shouldn’t miss! I’ll give a brief introduction here, and below you’ll find a detailed synopsis of the plot.
The female lead is a fierce and powerful demon king. The male lead is a once-in-a-millennium celestial lord, admired by the entire cultivation world.
They are equally matched, legendary rivals who have battled for centuries.
In the final duel, the female lead is gravely injured. The male lead saves her, seals her memories, and hides her true identity. He tells her that he is her fiancé. His entire life has been flawless—except for the one thing he never expected, never controlled, and never wanted to control: falling for his greatest enemy. She is his inner demon, his obsession.
When the female lead regains her memories, she is furious at his deception.
She makes his life a living hell.
And somehow, the male lead—possibly a total masochist—doesn’t mind at all. In fact, he’s happy she’s paying attention to him.
Yep, we’re back to my favorite trope: male lead suffering. If you love this kind of story, jump into the pit with me now!!!
Intro
Dong Xia lost her memory.
Her handsome and extremely powerful fiancé Li Qing comforted her: “It’s okay if you can’t remember. I’ll always be with you.”
Everyone thought Dong Xia’s ancestors must have burned incense to get such a perfect fiancé. He was the number one person in the immortal realm, yet he remained chaste and only loved her.
…
The day before marrying her fiancé, Dong Xia finally remembered everything.
She wasn’t suffering from memory loss at all.
Her arch-enemy had made her fake her death, destroyed her cultivation, replaced her memories, and pretended to be her deeply in love fiancé.
No wonder he said, “It’s okay if you can’t remember”!
Dong Xia laughed coldly as she pulled out her long knife: Li Qing, prepare to die 🙂
*
Li Qing, as the supreme being of the immortal realm, was the people’s shining beacon.
The only unknown stain in his life was his affection for Dong Xia, the ruler of the demon realm.
In the final battle of the war between immortals and demons, the sky collapsed and the earth shattered. The ruler of the demon realm was finally slain under the sword of the supreme being of the immortal realm, and everyone in the immortal realm applauded.
The cultivation world lost a ruler of the demon realm.
And in the back mountain of Li Qing’s cave dwelling, he secretly hid away a fiancée.
Notes:
1. The female lead is white on the outside, black on the inside, and the queen of flattery; the male lead repeatedly tests the edge of darkness, a VIP guest at the crematorium.
2. Fantasy cultivation world setting.
