Sander entered the Emperor’s office with a knock and greeted Enzo before approaching to speak.

“Your Majesty, according to our scattered informants, most kingdoms have already dispatched their envoys.”

“What about the Alliance of Small Kingdoms?”

“The envoy from Trumto Kingdom—the farthest of the three—has set off. Smalle Kingdom appears still busy erasing traces of smuggling and hasn’t prepared its delegation yet. As for Tula Kingdom, the closest one, they’re outwardly making preparations but still seem to be weighing their options.”

“They’re acting just as I expected.”

Sander nodded at Enzo’s remark and shuffled through his documents.

Right before the mana crystal market opened, Sander, by Enzo’s order, had seized every artifact capable of communication.

Enzo’s secret knight order, known as the Imperial Shadow Knights, received these artifacts and infiltrated each kingdom.

Sander compiled all the reports sent by the knights, compiled them into documents, and delivered his summary.

“We’ve confirmed that Tula Kingdom is leading the Alliance of Small Kingdoms.”

“Even after conceding this much—what more could they possibly want? Tch.”

Rather than turning neighboring kingdoms into vassals, Enzo had treated them as friendly states capable of growing together, never encroaching upon their territories.

He wished for them to prosper alongside the Empire as it advanced.
