Every time I slept, Sicar touched my hand. Naturally, I thought it was Sicar. I didn’t even consider it could be Grandma.

It was so embarrassing that I wanted to crawl into a hole.

Grandma opened her eyes slightly, seemingly surprised, and then quickly formed a gentle smile while holding my hand even tighter.

“Fortunately, Yura.”

“Yes. I’m sorry, Grandma…”

‘Wait, did she just say fortunately?’

“Yes…?”

Knowing Grandma was gentle and affectionate, I thought she would just overlook it.

But it wasn’t ‘it’s okay,’ and saying ‘fortunately’ made me puzzled.

“Sicar married you out of love, but it seemed like he wasn’t expressing his affection for you. However, when I heard what you said waking up from sleep, it seems that’s not the case. You two show a lot of affection when you’re together, right?”

‘Oh, Grandma, it’s not like that…’

I couldn’t say that I was returning the things Sicar used to say to me.

I smiled shyly, lowering my head slightly.

“I should have been more careful, and I ended up saying embarrassing things to Grandma.”

“That’s not embarrassing at all. No, it’s not. And if that was a mistake, I’m grateful. If you hadn’t made a mistake, I wouldn’t have known that our Sicar is an affectionate guy.”

Sicar loved Grandma deeply but never properly expressed it.

Born with a rough personality, and with Sicar’s parents passing away, Grandma was shocked and bedridden due to the shock, making Sicar spend his childhood in even greater loneliness, leading to a more rugged personality.

“Yes, the Duke treats me much better than I expected.”

“I see. It seems so.”

But Sicar and Kian were nowhere to be seen, only Grandma was in front of me.

“Oh, by the way, Grandma. Are the Duke and Kian still in the service…?”

“I had them take a stroll. After the meal, there’s no time for a rich father and son to spend together like a walk, so they say.”

Grandma was trying hard to make the two get along well… I couldn’t help but feel thankful in various ways.

“Thank you for your efforts, Grandma.”

“You don’t need to be thankful for your grandson and great-grandson’s affairs. Oh, this morning, I saw Sicar in the dining room, and he said you would like milk tea, so he prepared it for you. It was such a surprising sight that I wondered if he was really my grandson. I was worried that he might not be a loving husband to you, but it seems not, right?”

The result of my attempt to tease Sicar was backfiring. Although Grandma seemed to have a complete misunderstanding, I, who caused this, said that Sicar was indeed an affectionate husband.

“Yes, the Duke is generally on the affectionate side…”
It’s not entirely wrong. I’ve been trying to imitate a romantic man these days, so I’ve become more affectionate.

“He couldn’t even properly pet a dog’s head… Whenever I saw him unable to express emotions even to animals, I wondered how pitiful it must have been.”

It might be because of my difficulty in expressing emotions. I could imagine Sicar’s expression when he first touched a puppy.

It might be similar to the feeling when I say something cringe-worthy like ‘You’re a deer. Melt my heart.’ It’s probably not the same.

“Now that I think about it, there wasn’t a single woman who liked Sicar because of his personality.”

Well, now that I think about it, there were reasons for that, Grandma.

In the novel, Sicar is described as exceptionally handsome, enough to make you feel sorry for being the second son in Lecador.

Indeed, from my perspective, he was breathtakingly handsome. Moreover, he had a good body and was tall. Based on looks alone, he was the kind of man that women would swoon over.

However, Sicar had no interest in his handsome appearance. His only interest was in strength.

Although the novel did not go into detail about Sicar’s relationship issues, according to Hersia, even if women praised him for being handsome, he would respond with, ‘Did you think I would like to hear that?’ or, carrying a sword at his waist, he would make a face and say, ‘Do you want to die?’ if a woman annoyed him.

How could any woman like such a crazy guy?

So, it wasn’t just that he wasn’t popular with women; everyone avoided Sicar.

Even if Grandma thought her grandson had a picky and cynical personality, she probably didn’t think he was lacking in manners to the point of being unpopular with women.

Of course, there was no crazy person to tell Grandma, the great dowager, about Sicar’s rumors. Moreover, when she lost her son and daughter-in-law and received no help from other nobles, Grandma cut off ties with society, so it seemed she hadn’t heard Sicar’s rumors at all.

So, Grandma seemed to know that Sicar was unpopular with women, perhaps due to his gruff and rugged personality.

Grandma sighed, as if filled with regret for a long time.

“Sicar has been cynical to people, so I’ve been worried that no one would like our son-in-law, and he wouldn’t be able to marry, living alone. But he got married at a much earlier age than I thought. How fortunate that was.”

Now I could clearly understand why Grandma readily agreed to our marriage.

An Indifferent Woman is the One Men Desire the Most

One-line summary: The female lead is actually cold-hearted and extremely rational. She has stage-by-stage relationships and won’t two-time, but there will always be someone who secretly likes her.

This novel has the following triggers, so if you’re sensitive to these, please don’t read:

1. The female lead has had many relationships, but she treated each one seriously and broke up properly.

It’s just that the men unilaterally pestered her incessantly. For the female lead, when she doesn’t like someone anymore, she simply doesn’t like them.

(This applies to her relationships with Male Lead 1, 2, 3, and 4 as well, but she’s loyal in each 1-on-1 relationship!)

2. In this novel, Male Lead 2 and the female lead kiss in a car, and Male Lead 1 sees it and beats up Male Lead 2.

The female lead calls the police and sends both Male Lead 1 and 2 to the police station! Male Lead 1 begs the female lead not to break up with him.

3. Male Lead 1 has a gentle appearance but an obsessive personality.

Male Lead 2 has a delicate and soft appearance, slightly green tea-like (two-faced).

Male Lead 3 is a youthful college student and a smart person who has secretly liked the female lead for a long time.

Male Lead 4 is the female lead’s father’s special assistant, a business elite with deep, hidden thoughts.

4. At the beginning of this novel, the female lead has already broken up with Male Lead 1 (Chapter 4) and gotten back together with Male Lead 2 (ex-boyfriend).

5. Enter with caution if you have triggers!!!
