Gillian looked genuinely disappointed.

“That’s too bad—I’d be awfully hurt. Since I’ve come all the way here, I’d really like you to hear me out. I want to see your face twist up in distress.”

Gillian laughed again, obnoxiously and giggling, clearly determined to use it to mock me over whatever Sikar had done to him.
