After shooting Martha, who never cared about reading the room, a warning look, Tattlin turned her gaze back to me.

“If anyone dares show even the slightest disrespect to you, milady, please let me know immediately. I shall deal with them without delay.”

At those words, all the servants except Martha let out a terrified gasp—”Hiiik!”

When I turned toward the sound, the servants whose eyes met mine pulled up the corners of their mouths in a smile.

But their eyes weren’t smiling.
