I felt that the duke didn’t hate her, but that doesn’t mean he was right. Poor Lily, everyone ignored her and she was banished to the annex, even though she thought they were her family and hoped to receive love and praise from them.
But all she got was indifference and hurtful looks, even if they didn’t mean it, and her brother’s complaints and insults. I wish she would be loved and receive love and praise; she deserves it, Lily 🥺💗
