Before she knew it, the clock was indicating it was time to finish work.

“Su Ah noona!”
Just as she was wrapping up her work, a young man entered the convenience store, calling Su Ah’s name.

Su Ah noona? Ha Joon turned his head towards the source of the noise with a displeased expression.

“Oh? Ho Young. You came early?”
“I wanted to spend more time with you, noona, so I came early.”
Ho Young put his hand on Su Ah’s shoulder, who was cleaning the window, and said in a warm voice.

“Ah, you’re joking again.”
“Huh? I’m not joking. How many times do I have to say it? I’m serious.”
“Alright, alright, let’s say that’s the case.”
During Su Ah and Ho Young’s conversation, the look in Ha Joon’s eyes, who had been watching the two, was growing cold.

‘Spend more time together?’
He glared at Ho Young’s hand on Su Ah’s shoulder with a fierce gaze.

“Ah! You surprised me!”
Ho Young, who noticed his reflection in the window, was startled and jolted his body.

“Ah, I was surprised. I didn’t know there was a customer.”
“He’s not a customer. He’s a friend of the manager.”
“A friend of the manager?”
“Yes. He came to help just for today and tomorrow while the manager is getting trained.”
“Ah, is that so?”
Is it just me or does he seem to have a bad temper?

“This is Ha Joon. He’s our night parttimer, Kim Ho Young.”
“Yes.”
She waited, expecting more greetings or other words, but Ha Joon didn’t say anything more.

Could it be that’s the end?

Feeling embarrassed by his reaction, Su Ah whispered to Ho Young.

“He’s a bit shy.”
“What’s a person like that doing here to help?”
“I don’t know. Just know that’s how he is.”
“I see. It’s going to be hard for you, noona, having to be with him.”

“No, I’m fine.”
At the sight of the two whispering close together, a deep furrow appeared on Ha Joon’s forehead.

“Hmm!”
At the sudden fake cough, Su Ah’s gaze turned towards him.

“Su Ah, it’s time for you to finish work now.”
“Oh. It’s already this late. Just a moment.”
Realizing it was already time to clock out, Su Ah quickly went into the office, grabbed her bag and came out.
